The job interview is the first step that we should take when job hunting. Only if you succeed in the job interview can you have the opportunity to be member of a company. If not, you may be like a hero without place to display your power. Therefore, “how to succeed in a job interview” is very important for us to learn, specially for us at Web. So many student studying but dont have jobs, including myself. I hope some of my suggestions can help you, we can describe interview to be “3p”. “What is that?” - The first “p” is preparation, the second “p” is presentation, the third “p” is perseverance.First, lets look at preparation.(1)First of all, to get ready for the job interview, read the job, describe and make sure you understand what is required. Read the company make sure you know how profitable it is(or if it isnt) make sure you know and understand the products the company sells or makes, also make sure you know what skills you can bring that make you a valuable person for this company.(2)Secondly, make a good clear CV for your interview, please pay attention, dont write it, type it. Dont make spelling mistakes.(3)After its important to make sure your appearance is seamless and professional, even if your job interview is for a position as a waitress. (NOTE: this does not mean over-dress.)The second key part is presentation.(1) Be on time, well and be neatly dressed and groomed.(2) Maintain good posture all the time, whether seated, standing or walking.(3) Be enthusiastic, positive and engaged. Do not appear a pathetic, bored or sullen.(4) Be ready to smile and shake hands, many people underestimate the power of a firm (but not too hard.) handshake and hefty smile, these show youre comfortable and confident.(5) Be polite and respectful, keep slang to a minimum.(6) Show proper confidence, not too modest, not too boatful.(7) If the interviewer ask you question, you can use the different way to answer, make the answer perfect. For example: if ask what is you see as your weakness (and you probaty will be) use this as an opportunity a strength as a weakness. Such as: I I am really curious and always want to know more about things. am really stubborn about always being on time. I tend to be a bit too conscientious and want to get everything just right.(8) When answering the questions, maintain eye contact with the interview, if there are two or more interviews, give them equal attention.(9) Never , ever lie.The third is perseverance.(1) You should keep in touch.(2) Be patient.(3) You can send your CV again, get more information about the company, and prepare better for the interview. 2. If I were the boss To be a boss is a dream for many people, but only few of them seriously think about what being a boss can get. To me, a boss is an intergenerational of boss- a believer, an opposer, a scholar and a student. If I were the boss, I would first be a believer in group synergy. As the saying goes, individuals add, team players multiply, a boss is just the one who gives both spiritual and technical leadership that makes the combined efforts of a team more than the sum of each individual. If I were the boss, I would be an opposer to absolute leadership. It is true that the boss is the father and spiritual core of a company, but it doesnt necessarily mean that he should be at the top of the pyramid all the time. Facts have shown that the most successful CEOs are those who are able to make people with higher degree than themselves work for them and let those talents take the lead in some areas. If I were the boss, I would also be a scholar, of course, a boss cannot be pedantic, but he does need a sophisticated knowledge of both his profession and the outside world at large, which is a most to shape ones personal charisma. At least, if I were the boss, I would be a student of all my competitors outside and my employees inside the company. I would learn from my competitors how good they are, learn from my employee how hardworking they are, and thus find out how much there are still for me to do.
