Teaching Plan 云南省大理州南涧县第三中学 马竹莲Teaching Goals This unit is about Health and Accident, the teaching goals are consist of some parts.The first part :( knowledge)1. Let students know how to using English to describe the part of our body.2. Let students understand how to ask other people about health problem, and how to express something problem in health.3. Giving some advice about health problem.4. Learning some useful phrases for example 1) are you ok? = whats the matter? 2).Take ones temperature 3) take away from something 4) without5. What should I do? Whats the matter?The second part :( emotion)Bring students up some emotion to care about other people, to help other people, to know more about health, and to learn how to deal with the health problem.Analysis studentsThe junior grade eight students dont learn the matter of health, they dont know how to ask health problem. They already have learned English one year ,so they accept some simple sentences about health problem . We can use some easy words to express the matter of health, let students think.Key /Difficult Points The first periodKey points: 1. learning some new words 2. How to ask the problem about health 3. Using English to describe the different parts of our body and how to describe the problem of healthDifficult points: how to describe the problem of healthThe second period:Key points: 1.deponding on the health problem give some advice 2. 1) are you ok? = whats the matter? 2).Take ones temperature 3) take away from something 4) without 3. Whats the matter?Difficult points: 1.without 2. take ones temperature Teaching ProcessThe first period:The first: warm-upUsing words sheet to review the last unit learned-teacher divide students into four groups, guess whats the word in the word sheet.(purpose: let each students pay attention in the class)The second: learning the names in different parts of our body.The teacher 1) using body language to show the words one by one, 2) let students using these words to show their desk mate.3) Teacher asks some students to show in the class 4) Practice 1aThe second steps: learning how to describe the pain about our body Teacher uses the way-tell story to teach students.(teacher should use some easy word to tell a story) 1. One day, Eric ate some watermelon; he didnt feel well, whats wrong with Eric?Eric has a stomachache.2. Teacher perform some situation I have a headache.I have a cold.I have a fever.3. Teacher asks some students to performanceShe has a sore back.He has a toothache.Step 4 practice 1. Using 1b2. Do some exerciseStep5 pair work 1c let students make conversations.Eg. The second step: using tell story to teachingAnna meat some problems, she needs help.1. Anna has a headache, what should she do? Can you give her some advice?2. Peter always eats many junk food, he feel something wrong with his stomach. What should he do? 3. Lily always wants to sleep?
