Unit5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Section A(1a-1c) 教学设计花垣县民族中学 杨慧琴一 教材分析1、 位置和内容:这是新目标英语(Go for it)八年级下册第五单元第一课时。学会谈论过去正在发生的事情是本单元的语言目标。通过让学生学习一些暴风雨的基本情况,让他们意识到当我们遇到自然灾害时要团结一致,共同度过难关。2、教学重点:过去进行时态:“was / were + doing”结构 when引导的时间状语从句3、教学难点:掌握由when引导的时间状语如何使用过去进行时。二 学情分析 学生七年级下册就学过现在进行时,并掌握如何使用现在进行时来描述日常活动,而且掌握了一些日常活动的短语,有利于他们学习过去进行时。三 教学目标:1、知识目标:要求学生掌握使用过去进行时来询问或描述过去进行的事情,并学会用when描述某动作或某事件的发生。2、能力目标:1)学习并记住新单词:rainstorm. 短语:at the time of,on the street,at the bus stop, wait for the bus,walk home. 2)能在交际过程中教流利的运用when和at the time of引导的句型。 What was the girl doing at the time of the rainstorm / when the rainstorm came? She was doing her homework. 3)能在听听力的过程中学会抓取和记录关键信息。3、 情感目标:让学生了解暴风雨的基本情况,让他们意识到当我们遇到自然灾害时要团结一致,共同度过难关。四 教学方法听说法,学习合作法,任务型教学法,交际教学法。五 教学步骤Step1 Lead-inAsk Ss to watch a video about rainstorm to lead into the topic.T: Lets watch a video,pay attention to the weather.Step2 Presentation 1. Make sure the task of this lesson. 2. Check whether Ss preview by doing some exercises. 3. Review some sentences of present continuous tense. T: Look at the picture, what is he doing now? Ss: He is playing football. T: What was he doing at three yesterday afternoon? Ss: He was playing football. 4. Show some pictures to study some phrases.T: Yesterday, there was a rainstorm. What were they doing when the rainstorm came? Here are some reports. T: According to the picture, give me the answer. What were you doing when the rainstorm came? Ss: I was studying in the library. 5. Ask Ss to match the statements with people in the picture of 1a on P33 and check the answers. Step 3 Listening 1. Listen to the TV report and circle the correct responses. 2. Listen again and repeat the listening material.Step 4 Drill 1. Talk about what the people in 1a were doing at the time of the rainstorm. A: What was the girl doing at the time of the rainstorm? B: She was doing her homework. (the boy, the man, the woman)2. Ask Ss to look at the pictures of ppt and answer the questions by using “was/were + doing”. A:What was Li Lei doing when the rainstorm came?B: He was playing computer games.3. Ask Ss to make their own conversation and then show their conversations in public.4. Ask a student to interview classmates what they were doing when the rainstorm came. T: I want one of you as a reporter to interview your classmates what they were doing when the rainstorm came.Step 5 Practice Do the exercises of ppt.
