Unit 4 What can you do?Part B第一课时教案设计I.Teaching aims1. Aims on the knowledge: Enable the Ss to understand the dialogue and answer the questions about it Enable the Ss to listen, speak, read and write phrase: dance sing English songs do kungfu draw cartoons Enable the Ss to learn the four skill sentences: Can you do any kung fu,John? Yes, I can. Can you do any kung fu, Oliver? No, I cant. And make sure that Ss can use the sentences in the real situations. Enable Ss to work in pairs to talk about What I/you can do.2. Aims on the abilities To develop Ss abilities of listening , speaking, reading and writing. To train the Ss ability of working in groups. To foster Ss abilities of communication and their innovation.3. Aims on the emotion To foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition. To lead Ss to be helpful at home and at school.II. Key-points of this lesson(1) To help Ss learn the four skill sentences. (2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3) To develop Ss interest in English.III. Difficult pointsTo help the Ss use the sentences in the real situations: Can you ? Yes, I can./ No, I cant. To help the Ss understand the dialogue and make a similar one. Teaching methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening ,speaking, reading and writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use Task-based teaching method. Ill finish this lesson in 3 steps.Step1 warm up1. Greeting. Sing the song “Twinkle, twinkle, littlestar”2. Play a game: clap clap step step turn aroundplease sit down Step2 Teaching processToday we will learn Unit 4 What do you do1. Review the phrases: Today let us meet a new friend the Minions ,Do you know themLook! what can they do Show the MV”banana”Yes,they can sing English songs. T show the sentence then show the word card.T: Look at the Minions We already know they can sing English songs ,What else can they do?T show the pictures of Minions .Ss read the phrases put the cards on the blackboard.dance sing English songs do kung fu draw cartoons Lets match Match the English phrases and the pictures.Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss ,to review learned knowledge for the next step.2. T: Look at the Minions We already know they can do a lot of things, What about you?What can you do?Just write the answers on the big paper(4 kids a group)T walk around and ask” What can you do?”3. T act as the Minion, plays two horns,ask and answer.And put the phares in the sentences In turn.T take an example,then Ss make a sentence(4 kids a group)Practice the phrases “Can you .? Yes, I can./ No, I cant.”Purpose: To present the words by reviewing the words and game is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse the Ss interest in English learning.Ss write the answers on the big paper(4 kids a group)The groups communication in the group.Then T ask Ss “Can you? No, I cant. Yes, I can.”T: Can you dance?Ss: No, I cant. Yes, I can.T: Can you sing?Ss: No, I cant. Yes, I can.T: Can you do kungfu?Ss: No, I cant. Yes, I can.4. Present From the guessing game.T: Lets guess. What can Miss zhang do? Use the sentences: Can you .?Show a picture of What I can doT: and I can draw cartoons, T draw the picture of zip Practice the sentences “I can draw cartoons”Purpose: provide a real situation for students to understand well. It will make the students be interested in English.5. T Administering the text,Ss read the text.Team readTwo-student dialogueStep 3. continuation and homework1.T: Minions can do a lot of things. What about Xiao Wanzi and Dolamon. Are they helpful? Lets see.Show the pictures of them, and show what they can do, what they cant do. Dolamon.Show what he can/cant do, make a new dialogue.A:Can you dance?B : No, I cant.A:Can you swim?B: Sorry, I cant.A: Can you use a computer?B: Yes, I can. I am a computer. Xiao WanziT: She can sing songs, can you sing?Ss sing the song .Purpose: Different interesting activities can make a good English learning surrounding for the Ss , at the same time it provides situations to go over the new words , phrase and sentences what they have learned this class. Task-based teaching methods is used here to develop Ss ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.2.Homework.Copy the sentences.Ask your friends what they can do and wha
