Teaching Plan of Unit 8 (Go for it!)Teaching Content: period (3) Unit 8 when is your birthday? (3a to 4).Teaching Aids: A computer, PPT, the video, blackboard and chalks.Teaching Goals: (1) Students should have a good command of how to ask when is somebodys birthday and how to ask others ages. (2) Each student takes part in the pairwork, the group work and the birthday game. (3)Lead students to connect our real life with the knowledge of language learning LanguageGoals: (1) Learn the new words: birth, age, old (2) Learn how to use the sentences: when is your/ his/ her birthday? - Its March 21st. / How old are you/ is he /she? -Im/ He/She is fifteen./ when is Johns birthday?EmotionalGoals: (1) Students will know of their classmates and parents birthday, it may help them to care more about their classmates and parents. (2) Students will get better on with their classmates by taking part in the pairwork and the game. (3) Students will know the important of team work by doing the group work and the game.Teaching Difficulties: How to lead students to connect our real life with the knowledge of language learning.Teaching Steps:Step 1: Greetings.Step 2: Review:1. Let students watch the video and then ask them which months they have heard. (2 minutes)2. Let students say the dates on the PPT. (2 minutes)Dates: March. 19th/ October. 23rd/ July 31st3. Step 3: Lead in (5 minutes) Ask students to fill in the blanks: (6 minutes)1. When is your birthday? My birthday is _June_ _1st_. (6月1日)2. When _is_ your birthday?
