八年级上Unit2 Whats the matter? 第二课时教学设计与反思一教材分析:本课时的内容是新目标英语八年级上册Unit2 Whats the matter? Section A 1a1c部分。这节是本单元的第一课时,本课时的中心话题是“Whats the matter?” ,让学生围绕着描述“身体的不适”展开,学习运用Whatthe matter?,让学生学会描述身体的不适。本课教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流。在学习活动中,学生通过交换对身体不适的描述及建议,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊。二学情分析:通过七年级的学习,学生已掌握了一些有关身体部位的词汇,这节课需帮助学生结合已学的单词,学习新的有关这些部位疼痛词汇。部分学生已具备了较强的听说能力。而另一部分学生可能因基础较差,没有信心开口说英语,教师需花更多的精力调动其学习热情。针对不同的学习需求,教师在设计课堂教学任务时必须注重基础语言材料并在此基础上作适当拓展。三教学目标:1、知识目标1)Key vocabularies: cold, fever, headache, toothache, stomachache, sorethroat, sore back,sore arm dentist etc.2) Structures: Whatsthematter? Ihaveaheadache. 2、能力目标:Train the Ss to express some kinds of illness, to ask about othershealth conditions.3、情感目标: Through the class, help students to learn taking care of themselves and others, to train their independence.四教学重、难点分析:教学重点: 能够正确描述身体各部位名称,准确表达身体的种种不适,询问他人身体状况并给出适当建议。教学难点:1. 复习有关身体部位的词汇: arm,back,ear,eye,foot,hand,head,leg,mouth,neck,nose,stomach,tooth 2. 学习新词汇: headache, toothache, stomachache, sore throat, sore back, dentist, lie, rest, honey water, illness, advice should, shouldnt3.学习句型:Whatsthematter? Ihaveafever.五教学方法:Situational method, Discussion method.六教学过程:Step1. Warming upPlay a game with the Ss. The game is like this, firstly put your finger on your nose, then I say “mouth”, you use your finger touch your mouth.I say “hand” means “clap your hands”. I say “foot” means “stamp your foot”. I will invite 6 Ss to come to the stage and play the game.Please other Ss watch them carefully and tell me who is the best and fastest.Step2. Presentation1. Through showing a picture of Xiyangyang to attract the Ssinterests, lets review the names of the parts of his body: face, head, mouth, eye, ear, arm, hand, foot, leg, tooth, teeth, foot, feet, neck, throat, stomach. 2. According to teaching headache and sore throat, let the Ss guess how to express pain of other parts of the body, then learn the words:headache, toothache, stomachache, sore throat, sore back,sore arm.3. Through asking one students health condition, lead to the key structure: Whatsthematter? Ihaveaheadache.Step3. Practice1. Ask the Ss to look at the picture and finish 1a, then ask the Ss to read the names of bodys parts with the letters like k-arm one by one. 2. Ask the Ss to listen to the tape and finish 1b. Then let them listen to the tape again and repeat after the tape.Step4. Pairwork Ask the Ss to look at 1c, everyone find a partner and practice the dialogue. Then invite some pairs to show us their conversation.Step5. Guessing game (Whats the matter with him or her)According to some pictures, ask the Ss to guess out whats matter with him or her together. For example, in picture 1, he has headache.Step6. Homework1. Memorize the new words.2. Write down your advice for a patient who has a cold. 七教学反思:本课是新单元的一堂导入课,是以询问他人身体健康状况和如何表达身体不适展开教学的。在教学中,教师首先开展了一个“看谁又准又快”的游戏,吸引学生的注意力,引出身体部位的单词。再结合一张学生感兴趣的喜洋洋的图片来复习已学过的表达身体部位的单词,再教授新的单词。又通过询问一个学生的身体状况,设置教学情境,引出本堂课的关键句型。另外,本课设计和开展
