So its interesting an easy to learn their lesson.The analysis of the teaching materialAs we all know, teenagers we are teaching now usually have some problems and worries with their studies, families and friends. So helping them to solve the problems is very necessary and important for us teachers. In this unit, Ill teach my students how to express their feelings and how to give others advice. So its very useful to learn it.Teaching goals:1. Knowledge goals: Some important and useful vocabularies and phrases about how to express problems and give advice2.Ability goals: let the students learn to express some problems and difficulties in life and give some advice; Try to train their ability of communication3. Moral goals: Let the students learn to release pressure, increase their self-confidence and help them love life. Cultivate the students the spirit of solidarity and enhance their relationshipTeaching importance:Let the students express the problems and difficulties in life and give others some right advice.Teaching difficulties:How to give others advice by using “Why dont you?” or other suggestion patterns.Teaching methodsAs the main instructional aims of learning English in the middle school is to cultivate the students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and also their good sense of the English language, so in this lesson Ill mainly use task-based teaching method, the communicative teaching method and the situational teaching method.Teaching mediaSome pictures, PPTTeaching ProceduresStep 1. GreetingsAt the beginning of the class, we will greet each other by asking “How are you?”Step 2 RevisionsFirst, Ill show the students a picture of a boy who has a toothache. They will use what we have learned in Unit One “You should” to give me advice. After that Ill let some students to make similar conversations and then Ill give them a new way of suggestion, like “Why dont you see a doctor?”Step 3 Leading-inShow another picture of a girl who has some worries and problems and ask them to give them advice. The main purpose is to practice their oral English and help them release their pressure.Step 4 New Lesson1. Listen to 1b and circle the problems. Then listen to 2a and 2b and ask them do the exercises in the book. Let them know how to use “could/should do sth.” to give others advice. Through these parts, I mainly let the students know how to express their problems and worries to release their pressure and how to help others.2. Show some pictures of the students worries and problems and ask them to describe them. The main purpose is to practice their oral English and consolidate their relationship by helping each other.3. Ask them to talk about their own problems. Then lead them to give some advice by using the sentence “Why dont you?” or some other sentence patterns like “What about?” “Would you mind?” and so on to help them grasp the sentences well.4. Practice another part of listening by filling in the blanks. Then review some language points that we have learned before and learn a new word “allow”. Review all the ways of suggestions that we have learned so far. All these exercises are progressed through a way of playing a card game. 5. Do some exercises about what we have learned in this period. Step 5 SummaryGet some students to summarize what we have learned in this class, and conclude the sentence patterns of giving advice on the blackboard.Step 6 Homework1. Remember the words and phrases in this lesson.2. Remember the sentence patterns of giving advice.3. Write a composition about how to give advice. The design of the teaching situationAccording to the sentences that we have learned before and some pictures about the students worries and problems in their daily life, I mainly improve the students speaking and listening practice.Teaching reflectionIn this lesson, the students are interested in the topic about their life and studies, so its interesting and easy for them to learn this lesson. But the suggestion patterns are a little difficult for them to grasp all at once. So I need to give them more chances to express their opinions.Blackboard Designing:
