The listening material is information about staying at home alone. Its a good text to help the students improve their listening strategies, such as getting information from the listening material.教学目标【知识目标】1. Key words:platform, meeting, miss, lock, shut, simple, anybody, ring, clock, text, couple, passenger, address2. Key phrases:a couple of, look after, be careful with, make sure, be about to do sth., text message, wake up3. Key sentences:(1) So am I.(2) I can look after myself,although it wont be easy for me.(3) My clock rings so loudly that it will certainly wake me up.【能力目标】To understand the dialogue to get information.To talk about rules about staying at home alone.【情感目标】To develop the ability of living alone.To be independent students.教学重难点【教学重点】1. T gives some options (Lock the door well, Clean the room, Watch TV, Play games ) Ss discuss and talk about what they can do at home.【设计意图】通过讨论和谈论自己独自在家的情况,使学生明确本单元话题为后面听力活动的开展作铺垫。Step II Pre-listening (I) Work in pairs. Talk about the picture.The girls parents are going to take the train. Her father is carrying a big luggage(II) Listen and answer the questions.1. Where are Betty and her parents?2. Is Betty travelling with her parents?(III) Listen again and complete the sentences. 1. Will you be OK at home _?2. Ill _ you too, and Ill call you every day.3. Ill keep it tidy so that youll _me when you get home.【设计意图】做好铺垫,为下面的听力热身。Step III While-listeningT:Bettys parents are going to take the train to leave. Lets listen to their dialogue. Bettys mum has not _.(II)Choose the correct answer.1. “I havent given you our address in Lhasa!” This means you do not know where we are staying / what we are doing.2. You see passengers travelling by train / staying at home.3. When your clock rings, it is quiet / makes a loud noise.4. You receive a text message on your phone / by email.5. When the door is shut, it is open / closed.6. When you lock the door, you keep people out / let people in.7. At a meeting, you meet people for work / fun.【设计意图】学生经过操练进一步掌握对话的内容。Step V. Language points 1. Its leaving from Platform 2.该从二号站台离开了。(1) Leave (vt)译“离开”。 leave+地点名词 离开某地eg. We leave school at 5:00 in the afternoon. 我们下午5点放学。Leave from 从离开。You cant leave from here.你不能从这儿离开。 (2) leave 与for连用, Leave for+地点名词 译“动身去某地”He will leave for London next week. = He will go to London next week. 他下周要去伦敦。(3) leave (vt) +sth+表地点的介词短语 译“把某物忘在某地” 切记:不能用forget. I left my English book in the classroom yesterday.昨天我把我的英语书忘在教室里了。 (4) leave 译为“留(保留)”,leave(vt)+sb +sth=leave+sth+to sb把某物留给某人此时leave叫“双宾语动词”,且leave必须与to搭配。I left my clothes to him.=I left him my clothes. 我把衣裳留给了他。2. The meeting in Lhasa is very important for us.在拉萨召开的这次会议对我们很重要。(1) be important to sb. , 是说对某人很重要, Money is important to her. 钱对她很重要。(2) be important to do sth. =be important for sb. to do sth. 做(对某人)很重要It is important to keep fit.保持健康很重要。It is important for us to learn English. 学习英语对我们来说很重要。 3. Be especially careful with the door.尤其要注意门。Be careful with 小心;照顾 Be careful with that cat.小心对待那只猫。Be careful with your health. 注意你们的身体健康。especially adv. 特别;尤其;格外 I like to swim, especially in the sea.我喜欢游泳,尤其喜欢在大海中游泳。4. So am I, but I cant miss two weeks of school. 我也一样(遗憾),但是我不能两周不上课。全部倒装 (肯定句): so +情态动词助动词系动词主语miss v. (1) 漏掉He listened carefully so as not to miss a single word. 他不想漏掉一个字,所以很用心地听。(2) 错过(机会)I missed the bus. 我错过了巴士。(3) 思念 I miss my parents.我思念我的父母5. I can look after myself, although it wont be easy for me. 我可以照顾好我自己,尽管这对我来说不容易。although 引导的让步状语从句although “尽管,(但是)”。注意:在英语中although与but是不能同时使用于一个句子中的,只能用其中一个。Although she wants to go to Paris, she doesnt want to fly.尽管她很想去巴黎,但是她不想坐飞机。 6. Well, make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. 确保你会吃大量的新鲜水果和蔬菜。makesure表示“确保;核实;查证”。makesure常用于祈使句,后面常接that宾语从句 或of介词短语。Makesure+that从句意为“弄明白;确信”。Makesure+of+代词/名词,意思也是“弄明白;确信”。7. There wont be anybody to wake you up in the morning 早上没有人叫你起床了。wake up 醒来 James usually wakes up early.詹姆斯一般醒的很早。wake sb. up 叫醒 My mother wakes me up at six oclock.妈妈六点叫我起床。 8. Your train is about to leave .您乘坐的火车即将离开。 be about to 的意思是 “就要;正要”。 例如:We were just about to leave when Jerry arrived. 杰里来的时候,我们正准备走。She looked as if she was about to cry她看上去好像要哭了。 9. look after 照顾拓展:look构成的短语 (1) look back回顾,回头看 He still feels quite guilty when he looks back in the past.想起过去,他仍然感到很内疚。 (2) look forward to 盼望;期盼 We are all looking forward to our holiday.我们都期盼假期。 Im looking forward to seeing you this summer vacation. 我期盼今年暑假见到你。(3) look in顺便看望; 短暂访问 Can you come on Wednesday?周三你能来吗?
