And other festivals are held to honor famous people or the gods, such as Dragon Boat Festival Columbus Day and in India have a day to honour Mohandas Gandhi, the leader who help gain Indias independence from Britain. Harvest and Thanksgiving festivals are happy events because their food is gathered for the winter, and they may win awards because of their beautiful rooster, and because a season of agricultural work is over. In Europe people will decorate churches, and in China, people will admire the moon in mid-autumn. And the most energetic and important festivals is Spring Festival. In China you can eat dumpling and see dragon dance, at the same time, some Western countries will have parades before Easter, to celebrate the return of Jesus and the coming of spring.
