Step 2: The customs and meanings about Halloween.T: Look at the pictures, what is this festival? When and where do people have it?(1) What do children do for the festival Halloween? They dress up and ask for sweets. If people dont give sweets, they will play a trick on them. (2) Why do people have the festival?For the festival Halloween, it had the origin in old beliefs about the spirits of the dead people. Seasonal festivals: Learn the meanings and customs about the lunar Spring Festival and the Mid-autumn Festival.Step 1: The customs and meanings about the lunar Spring Festival. T: Look at the picture, and tell me what season it is. T: Well, in China, we have an important festival. That is the spring festival, especially the lunar spring festival. (2) What do people do during the Spring Festival?In China, elderly people always give the lucky money in red paper to children.People usually get together to have fun with each other.In western countries, in the season of spring, many carnivals are celebrated, such as parades and dancing day and night. People always wear colorful clothing, dancing and singing.Step 2: The meanings and customs about the Mid-autumn Festival. T: These exciting activities take place in the season of spring. However, people found Jesus was alive again. So people had Easter to celebrate the return of Jesus form the dead. In western countries, most are Christians and they celebrate the two important festivals every year.
