time, there was a child ready to be born. so one day he asked god, “they tell me you _16_(send ) me to the earth, but being so small and _17_(help),how am i going to live there?”“among the many angels, i choose one for you. she will be waiting for you and will take care _18_ you.” god replied.“but here in heaven,i do anything else _19_ sing and smile! thats enough for me to be happy.”god said, “your angel will sing and smile 20 you every day. and you will feel your angles love and be happy .”and what am i going to do when i want to talk to you?”god had 21 answer for that question too. “your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweetest words you will ever hear, and your angel will teach you22pray.”the child said, “iveheard that on the earth there are bad men. so 23 will protect me?”god said, “your angel will protect youeven if it means 24 (risk) her life.”.“oh, god, if i am about toleave now, please tell me 25 angles name!”god touched the child on the shoulder and answered, “your angels name is not hard to remember. you will call your angel mommy.” 16. are sending 17. helpless 18. of 19. but 20.for 21. an 22. how 23. who 24. risking 25. my任务型阅读-示例2about six years ago i was eating lunch in a restaurant in new york city when a woman and a young boy own at the next table, i couldnt help overhearing parts of their conversation. at one point the woman asked, “so, how have you been?” and the boywho could not have been more than seven or eight years oldreplied. “frankly, ive been feeling a little depressed lately.”this incident stuck in my mind because it confirmed my growing belief that children are changing. as far as i can remember, my friends and i didnt find out wewere “depressed” until we were in high school.the evidence of a change in children has increased steadily in recent years. children dont seem childlike anymore. children speak more like adults, dress more like adults and behave more like adults than they used to.whether this is good or bad is difficult to say, but it certainly is different. children as it once was no longer exists. why?human development is based not only on natural biological states, but also on patterns of access to social knowledge. movement from one social role to another usually involves learning the secrets of the new situation. children have always been taught adult secrets, but slowly and in stages: traditionally, we tell sixth graders things we keep hidden from fifth graders.in the last 30 years, however, a secret-revelation(揭示)machine has been installed in 98 percent of american homes. it is called television. television passes information, and indiscriminately(不加区分地),to all viewers alike, whether they are children or adults. unable to resist the temptation, many children turn their attention from printed texts to the less challenging, more vivid moving pictures.communication through print, as a matter of fact, allows for a great deal of control over the social information to which children have access. reading and writing involve a complex code of symbols that must be memorized and practiced. children must read simple books before they can read complex materials.title: change in todays childrenmain comparisonscontextdifferent (1) children in the past did what they were (2) to. children today (3) as if they were adults.different (4) children in the phenomenon worth notingthe authors (10) to childrens change.he prefers communication through print for children, which can control what children are to learn.【宏观分析】:这类题难度较大,对学生的基本功要求高。 首先解决第3空,根据第三段behave more like adults,可用behave 或者act,相反过去的孩子只做他们应该做的,可以联想到be supposed to(第2空),再对这两行进行总结,可联想到different behaviors(第1空)。第5空两个依据:第三段i didnt find out we were depressed与第6空前的sadness可知是depression. 第8空可根据第五段最后一句,but slowly and in stages可知应是gradual. recently it has been observed that many students eat their breakfasts on the way to school or in the dinning-room. but some of them dont really know how to eat well when eating out.here is some important advice. the first is to eat less fast food. the most obvious harm of eating too much fast food is weight gaining because of too much fat. young people and adults are at risk of disease related to weight.too much fast food can drag your body down. french fries, for example, were recently found to contain much more acryl amide (丙烯酰胺) than other food. this may cause cancer. actually, deep fried food all contains acryl amide. so dont eat it too often.soda is another thing you should watch out for. cokes and other sodas contain a lot of sugar and can slow down a persons calcium absorption, so its best to drink as little soda as possible.food in the dinning-room may not be as tasty as fast food, but its actually easier to make healthy choices. human bodies need variety. you can have a dinner that balances lean proteins, vitamins and complex carbohydrates (碳水化合物). in other words, a meal with fish or meat, vegetables and some bread or rice will provide you with most nutrients that the body needs.some snacks, on the other hand, will help keep you going until your next big meal. it is natural for teenagers, especially boys, to feel hungry during school time. dont forget to take some foods, like whole-grain biscuits or low-fat milk in your school bag.title: advice on 76. _advicefoodcontents77. _kindeat less fast foodfrench fries and other deep 78. _ foodtoo much 79. _ acryl amidecause weight gaining
