What are they?(Review): Its (green).Vocabulary (New): one, two, three, four, five, train, car, doll, ball, and teddy bear (Review): red, blue, yellow, green, brownKey points: Oral practice the structure and vocabulary with multimediaPreparation: the puppets, the character masks, the poster for this unit, and the flashcard for this unit, computer and multimediaTeaching contents:I. Warmup 1. Hold up the puppet of Mocky and mime him saying, “Hello, Im Mocky.” Have children return the greeting and elicit, “Hi, Mocky.” Than hold up the mask of Ken and put it on. Say, “ Hi, Im Ken.” Have children return the greeting and elicit, “Hello, Ken.” Repeat the step above with the mask for Ann. 2.Greetings each other and make some pairs act out for the whole class.3. Sing and dance together with the multimedia.4.Go over the words of colors with flashcard in the computer.II. Preview 1. Show up a cartoon duck in the multimedia and ask, “Whats this?” Elicit, “Its a duck.” Say, “Thats right. How many ducks?” Say, “There is one duck.” Present the number word one, and have the children repeat after you. 2. Show up two balls in the multimedia and ask, “How many balls?” Say, “There are two balls.” Present the number word two. Repeat the procedure and present the numbers three, four, and five with multimedia. 3. Review the numbers by flash up different numbers of pencils and eliciting the numbers from the children in a choral drill, then from individual children. III. Presentation of new language 1. Show up the flashcard in the multimedia for train and have the children look at it. Say, “Its a train.” Model the word train at least twice. Now have the children repeat after you.2. Repeat the step above, using the flashcards to present the other new vocabulary: car, doll, ball, and teddy bear. 3. Show up the Poster of this unit in the multimedia. Ask, “Who can you see?” Elicit, “Ken, Ann, and Mocky.” Say, “Where are they? They are in the childrens bedroom.”4. Discuss the picture. Ask children what the characters are doing how they feel, and so on.5. Point to the doll and ask, “What s this?” Elicit, “Doll,” or “Its a doll.” Repeat the procedure for train, ball, teddy bear, and car.IV. StoryStudent Activity Book page 341. Have the children open their books. Say, “Now we are going to hear what Mocky said.” Have the class look at the picture as you play the tape sound of multimedia.2. Play the tape again and have the children repeat the words.3. Discuss why Mocky is looking worried (he thinks the two trains are going to crash, because he doesnt realize that Ken has the remote control to direct them safely).V. Touch and sayStudent Activity Book page 351. Review the numbers from one to five by holding up the flashcards of multimedia for each one and eliciting each number. Do this until you are sure that the children can recognize each numeral. 2. Have children open their books and direct their attention to the numbers shown down the righthand side of the page.3. Play the tape sound of multimedia, and have them point to each number as they hear it.4. Replay the tape, while displaying your copy of the page5. Without the tape, read the words together.6. Hold up the puppet of Uncle Booky and ask the children, “Whos this?” Elicit, “Uncle Booky.”7. Direct childrens attention to the picture of teddy bears and Ask, “What are they?” Elicit, “Teddy bears.” Then ask, “How many teddy bears?” Elicit, “Three.” Point to Uncle Bookys speech bubble. Have children read the oral cue silently. Say, “Three teddy bears.” And have children repeat after you.8. Now show up your copy of the book and points to a photograph and the other child counts and says the names and the number of toys. Provide a teacherchild example before the children begin the pair work.9. Have pairs volunteer to point and say the names and numbers of toys they have just practiced for the whole class to listen to.VI. Extension1. The children will need to use their individual sets of the Numbers cards one through five.Call out numbers randomly from one through five. Children listen and hold up the number that you call.Now ask one child to call out a number and encourage the whole class to hold up that number. Continue until all the children have called out a number.2. Do some exercises about the numbers from one to five with multimedia.The Continuous: Give them some objects and some numbers with multimedia, have the children continuous them.Guess: Show them a picture in m
