本单元介绍了世界各地的英语 英语在不同国家的差异 以及英语是怎样发展成为现代英语的相关知识 内容包括英语语言的起源 发展变化 形成原因及其发展趋势 本单元的教学目标是让学生掌握与英语语言发展变化相关的话题和表达 了解英语语言的发展及其趋势 掌握语言交际中遇到困难如何求助以及祈使句和间接引语的用法 通过阅读课文提高纵向对比分析能力 在听说训练中培养获取信息和表达信息的能力
