教学目标教学目标:在本课学习结束时,学生能够:1.Understand the passage and be able to get the key information;2.Learn a life lesson and be able to talk about ones own experience of overcoming the anxiety教学重点:重点:通过阅读,能够准确的获取,收集,整理和归纳文章中的信息。教学难点:难点:整篇文章阅读之后推断文章主题及作者的态度意图。教学过程教学阶段教师活动学生活动设置意图技术应用时间安排Step1 Lead in To lead in the lesson by showing a video Show the video and ask students to watch carefully. Then ask students about their feelings of the video and what lessons they learn.Ss watch the video and answer the questions通过让学生观看与主题相关的视频,吸引学生兴趣,引导学生思考相关主题电脑视频 3Step 2While-readingAsk Ss to read the passage carefully and try to fill in the chart in the PPTRead and fill in the chart学生充分阅读,理解文章大意,掌握文章关键信息PPT8Step 3Group workStep 3Group work Step 4While-reading1. Ask Ss to check answers with their group member.2. Ask 2-3 students to present their answers about the chart. Then ask students to conclude the development of the essay. Meanwhile the teacher write down the students answer on the blackboard.1. Ask Ss to continue their reading with the following questions. 1) What happened when the writer keep on interviewing the big names? 2) What causes such changes?3) What happened to his anxieties?2. Ask Ss to do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2. The Ss should make choices and underline the supporting sentences for their answers from the passage3. Ask 2-3 Ss to underline the sentences on the electronic board. Then ask them to tell the reasons why the other three options are not right1.Discussing2.
