Section B 2a-2eDo You Know When Basketball Was Invented?(P46-47)By: Chen Xin (陈 新)Fenghuang Middle School2017. 2. 17【教材分析】 1. 本节课是人教版新目标九年级英语第六单元Section B的阅读内容,为本单元的第六课时, 是本单元前面知识的升华, 主要讲解篮球的发明、发展情况。 2. 本节课延续五六单元的被动语态,这是学生的学习难点,却也常作为考点。【学情分析】我班学生学习能力较强,有一部分优生带动后进生,英语基础较好,但是在口语交际方面较弱。同时,他们课堂上热情有活力,渴望老师的鼓励。【教学设计思路】 在教学过程中,学生是学习的主体,教师是学习的组织者、言道者,教学的一切活动都必须以强调学生的主动性、积极性为出发点。本课教学培养学生能够利用思维导图理顺文章的能力和合作探究的能力。 在教学过程中,以篮球明星为线索,带领学生走近篮球-了解篮球-体会篮球精神,并在潜移默化中复习巩固一般过去时的被动语态,从而更好地激发学生的学习兴趣,增大教学容量,提高教学效率。【教学目标】 1. Knowledge aims: Learn some new words; talk about the basketball; be+pp. 2. Ability aims: Be able to use the strategy( mind-mapping)to read a passage. 3. Emotion aims: Never give up, work hard to achieve your dream.【教学重难点】 1. Key vocabulary. 2. Read the text to identify main idea.【教学过程】 (一)走近篮球Step 1. Pre-reading People like sports because it can keep them fit and make them relax. 1. Do you like doing sports? 2. Which sport do you like best? 3. Which sport do you think is the most popular? 4. Who is your favorite basketball player? 5. How is basketball played?设计意图 本环节通过问题引导,引出本文重点单词和短语例如 professional, look up to, divide into等,为下面的阅读活动作铺垫。(二)了解篮球Step 2. While-reading Task 1. Paragraph 1 The invention of basketball Paragraph 2 The popularity of basketball Paragraph 3 The development of basketball设计意图 通过阅读段落的首句和末句,即主题句的所在,帮助学生养成通过主题句来理解段落大意的阅读策略。 Task 2. Read Para.1 and complete the information about popularity. Task 3. Read Para.2 and complete the information about the game. Task 4. Read the whole passage and complete the information about development.设计意图 因为文章较长,在确定段落大意后进行分段阅读,降低了阅读的难度,有助于保持学生的阅读兴趣。 Task 5. Answer the questions according to the mind map. 1. (小组合作解决长难句) Task 2. Retell the passage according to the mind map.设计意图 学生借助思维导图进一步“梳理”和“压缩”课文内容,从而进一步加深对篇章的理解和掌握,并通过小组评价有效地促进学生间的相互交流和学习。Step 4.
