Status and function The teaching material is Reading of Unit 7 in Grade 9, Go for it. The main topic in Unit 7 is to talk about what you are allowed to do. This lesson is a poem. There are many be allowed to do structures in the poem. Whats more, the poem is about mothers love. The students can learn tounderstand mothers care and love his or her mother more.II. Teaching Aims and Demands1. Knowledge Aims To learn to use some useful words right ,such as : tiny, cry, field, hug, lift, regret, talk back, keep.from To learn to use the passive voice contain modal verb correctly ( should +be allowed to )2. Ability Aims To improve the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To improve the communicative ability and co-operate ability. To improve the ability of learning by themselves.3. Moral Aims To have good cooperation and self-confidence through teamwork and pair-discussion. To learn to understand parents care and showing love to parents. Key points and difficult points1. Teaching key points To use some useful words and expressions mentioned in knowledge aims correctly. 2. Teaching difficult points To develop students basic reading skills skimming and scanning.Part Two Analysis of studentsThe students in Grade 9 have the comprehensive ability to use language more deeply.They have some reading comprehension ability and cooperation ability after two years of English learning.Part Three Teaching and studying method1. Student-centered1) Students are the masters of study. They are always the center of study. Place myself at the position of my students Base my teaching on the majority of the students Start from the students levels and experiences Give the students most of the time to practice Be relative to students life, interests and needs.For junior students, I think interests are half success.2) I am just the organizer, researcher and director, like the coach in a sports team. When students are engaged in activities, I can join them, giving the suggestions, offering the help they need and encouraging them timely.2. Task-based teachingTask-based Teaching Method puts an emphasis on learning how to communicate through interaction in the target language. English can only be learned by practice. The tasks should be meaningful and within the students abilities. Only in this way we can really make our students active learners.3.
