教学设计课题:I used to be afraid of the dark 科目:Go for it! 教学对象:Grade Nine 课时:SectionB1a-2c 提供者:詹秋生单位: 淳安县汾口镇初级中学一、教学内容分析本节课主要来自9年级第4单元第三课时,主要的目的是让学生谈论:我们所发生的变化What you used to be like.正确使用used to结构。二、教学目标1.知识目标(1)Key vocabularies: spider, insect, chew, gum (2)Get the students to master the following Target Language: I used to eat candy all the time. Did you? Yes, I did and I used to chew gum a lot. 2.能力目标Train Ss ability to talk about what they used to be.3.情感目标People surely change. Ss should take good care of the process of their growth.三、学习者特征分析本节课的授课对象是初三学生,本堂课的话题是“I used to be afraid of the dark”,该话题与学生的学习生活密切相关,学生比较有学习的兴趣。由描述人物性格,外貌变化转向讨论人物行为习惯,爱好的改变;在语言上,复习巩固有关行为习惯及爱好的短语,同时通过语篇呈现其他词汇。从技能上,由听,说转向综合性的听,读,写的训练;四、教学策略选择与设计 本堂课是一堂听说课,而且是第三课时。因为在教学环节的设计上,从学生熟悉的话题着手,利用简单句型“What did you look like”逐步过渡到本堂课的目标语言“I used to be”。课堂上,主要是通过学生对话练习、听说练习、小组合作等形式来逐步深入目标语言的落实与达成。五、教学重点及难点1.Statements with “used to” 2.YesNo questions with “used to”六、教学过程教师活动学生活动设计意图一、导Warming up reviewing “used to”(1) Ask:What did you use to look like?Call more students to talk about what they used to be(2) Ask: What did you use to be afraid of when you were a child ?Call some students to talk about the things they used to be afraid of.Talk about the things they used to be afraid of.创设情境,从学生感兴趣的话题入手,激发学生的学习兴趣,很自然的导入新课。二读Before reading, teach the new words (spider, insect, gum, chew) by the projector. Make sure the students have known the meanings of the new words.1. Do la Checking and listingLet the Ss look at the four pictures on page 13 and check the things they used to like when they were a child.2. Do lb in pairs.Let the Ss practice the following question in pairs.Question: What other things did you like to do when you were A child?Write sentences in the box on page 13. Then discuss them with a partner.See if Ss know how to use the drill with “used to”. Do la and Do lb让学生自读、两人一组阅读合作自学1a、1b,把不懂的问题找出来,便于下一步开展小组讨论。三、研1. Let the students read through the sentences in the box on page 132. Let the Ss discuss statements with “used to” and Yes/No questions with “used to”discuss statements with “used to” and Yes/No questions with “used to”让学生在小组活动中,解决自己自学过程中没弄懂的地方,体现“兵教兵”的思想。教师要四下走动,指导学生积极与他人合作进行互动交流。四、点Teacher will use the slides to show to use patterns with“used to”教师要对学生讨论后还解决不了的问题进行释疑解难,给学生的小组探究成果给予肯定,给学生增加学习的自信心。五、练1. Do 2a, 2b, 2c(1) Read through the four sentences in 2a.Let the students listen to the tape for the first time and check the sentences they hear in 2a.Check the answers together. (Choose 1, 2, 3)(2) Let the students read through the sentences in the chart in 2b and listen again and then fill in the charts in 2b.Let the students read and discuss things the girl and the boy used to do and the things they do now in pairs.Call a few students to talk about it.(3) Let two students read the conversation in 2c.Work in pairs to compare himself with his or her partner.2.
