Section A 2 (3a3c) Teaching material analysisThis unit is talking about memories, the lesson is a reading passage, which focused on the topic of I remember Such the topic is related to our daily life, so it is easy to arouse the Ss learning interests.Teaching Objectives Knowledge and skill:Teaching Objectives Knowledge and skills:1. Bytheendofthislesson , Ss are able to understand the whole poem.2. Ss are able to master some reading skills and use the skills by practicing. 3. Ss are able to write passages about their junior high school. Process and methods:1.To know how to talk about the past by practicing and role-play.2. To look back on their past three years.Emotional attitude and values:After learning this part, every student will have a sweet memory of his/her own past three years and will remember these unforgettable memories.Important and difficult points:1.develop their reading skills and ability of understanding such as skimming scanning 2. How to talk about the past.the analysis of students The Ss have learned English for some years. They understand some words and simple sentences. They are curious, active, and fond of games, competition, and various activities. They enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxing atmosphere. Teaching Aids:PPT, recorder, mutiple-mediaTeaching methodsaudio-visual teaching method, communicative teaching method, and task-based teaching method.Teaching ProceduresStep1 Greeting as usual.Step 2 Warming up and leading inFree talk about memories,:What activities can you remember about your life in junior high?I rememberStep 3 Pre-reading (10mins) Show some pictures on PPT and ask the Ss to say what activities they can remember? (Purpose: through saying and looking at pictures, to arouse Ss learning interest, and help them to learn the new knowledge )Step 4 While- reading (15mins) I will ask students to read the passage three timesFirst reading: Ss read the article as quickly as they can and try to get the general idea by answering the following questions. 1) What kind of writing is this? 2) What is the main subject of this writing?3) Who do you think the writer is? Second reading: Ss read the article more carefully, and Work on 3b. Write the words that rhyme with the words below.things rings year _ class_land _school_ flowers _Third reading: Work on 3c. Have you experienced any of the following things ? How did you feel?How does the writer feel about them?Purpose: the tasks aim to develop Ss reading ability. And then get a deep understanding of the poem. Step 5 Post-reading (10mins) 1. Listen to the poem and role-play itListen to the poem is to develop Ss listening ability. And role-play the poem , It is an output, and it can evaluate how well the Ss learned in this lesson. 2.
