Section B 2a-2d Stonehenge-Can Anyone Explain Why It Is There? 教学设计 四中 刘超一、教材分析本单元主要讨论关于“mysteries”这一话题。Section A 主要围绕“推测物品的归属”展开,并进一步引入“mysteries”这一话题,集中呈现与学习表示推断的相关词汇。Section B通过对疑似外星人事件的讨论逐步过渡到巨石阵的介绍,是对Section A 所学知识的巩固、拓展与提升。本节课是阅读教学部分,阅读材料是关于巨石阵的说明文。阅读语篇涉及英国文化,还涉及一些含有连接词的复杂句子,需要引导学生在上下文语境中体会语言表达的确切含义。 学生在学习了Section A以及Section B阅读教学之前的内容后,对于本单元的话题已经有了一定程度的知识积累,因此学习本节课应该不是很难。二、学生分析九年级的学生虽然在英语语言方面已经有了一定的基础,但对于英国文化却知之甚少,很多同学对巨石阵都闻所未闻,所以需要教师补充文化方背景。巨石阵对学生来说既遥远又神秘,能勾起学生强烈的好奇心和探索欲,相信学生会有一番紧张而刺激的探索之旅。三、教学目标1. 知识目标(1)学习使用连词,并借助连词的意义理解文章。(2)进一步理解和掌握情态动词表示推测的用法。(3)了解巨石阵的奥秘。2. 能力目标 学生能够掌握一定的阅读技巧,提高阅读能力。3. 情感目标激发学生学习兴趣,同时拓展学生的知识面,使学生放眼看世界。四、教学重点1. 掌握情态动词表推测的用法。2. 介绍连词的用法,并借助连词理解文章。五、教学难点阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生们的综合阅读能力。六、教学过程Step1. Lead-inLet students watch a video about Stonehenge. Then ask students some questions about Stonehenge to see how much they know about Stonehenge.设计意图:利用视频吸引孩子们的眼球,引起他们的兴趣,同时为新课的学习做好铺垫。Step 2. Show the learning aims.(1)学习使用连词,并借助连词的意义理解文章。(2)进一步理解和掌握情态动词表示推测的用法。(3)了解巨石阵的奥秘。Step 3. Pre-readingTask1: Read and learn the new words. One student reads, the others follow him or her. Then all the students read the words together.设计意图:读新单词,为阅读课文做好准备。Task 2. Show a picture in 1b, and the teacher asks some questions about the picture.1. Match each linking word or phrase with its purpose.设计意图:通过练习,让学生明确连词的意思及作用。Step3. While-readingTask1. Read the article quickly and underline the linking words or phrases.设计意图:让学生进一步掌握连词的用法,同时对文章所讲内容有大致的了解。Task2.
