Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry(period 1)一、 教材分析1.教材以“情感”为话题, 以谈论“事物对人的影响”为交际功能,重点在这些语境中学习和运用“make sb do sth”和“make sb+形容词”。通过上单元动词不定式和本单元省略to的动词不定式的学习,学生可以对动词不定式产生较深刻和系统的了解。进而要求学生应用目标语言,掌握表达某物或某事给人带来的感觉、看法或影响等。2.Section A部分有4个模块:第一模块以“人的情感”为话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练;第二模块围绕“情感” 进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c-2d)训练;第三模块要求学生就“怎么样能够开心”阐述自己的观点并展开训练,训练形式为阅读(3a)和阅读理解(3b-3c);第四模块为Grammar Focus,仍就“情感”为话题,进行语法归纳和练习(4a-4c)。二、 三维目标1. 知识目标:一些生词和短语,动词“make”的用法。2. 能力目标:学生能用make的用法,谈论事物对人的影响。3. 情感目标:能够让学生理解事情对他们产生的影响,克服消极情绪,勇敢面对未来。三、 教学重点重点单词 1. drive v. 迫使.2. lately adv. 最近,不久前;3. friendship n. 友谊,友情;重点词组 1. make me sleepy使我困倦2.drive sb crazy使发疯3. 越越the more, the more4. yes and no好坏参半5. be friends with sb是某人的朋友6. feel left out感觉被忽视重点句式: 1.Id rather go to Blue Ocean because I like to listen to quiet music while Im eating.2.But that music makes me sleepy. 3. Waiting for Amy drove Tina crazy.4. The movie was so sad that it made Tina and Amy cry.5. Sad movies dont make John cry. Play the different kinds of music and feel them.2. Lead-in: T:Most of us like music. A piece of soft music makes us feel relaxed, a loud music may make us feel boring and an exciting one makes us happy and excited. If you and your friends are at a restaurant with loud music on, you could hardly hear what your friends are saying. How does the music make you feel? Now look at the picture on Page 102. There are two restaurants in the picture. In one of the restaurants, a loud music is broadcasting; while in the other, we can only find a quiet and comfortable place. Which restaurant do you like? Would you feel the same as the two girls do in the picture?S1:Id like to go to the Blue Lagoon because I dont like loud music. It makes me angry. This loud music may drive the guests away.S2:Id like to go to the Blue Lagoon too because I like quiet music just like the girl in the picture does. It makes me feel comfortable.S3:Id like to go to Rockin Restaurant. I like loud music. It makes me feel excited.This loud music makes me want to dance.S4:Id like to go to Rockin Restaurant too. I think loud music makes me feel energetic. This loud music makes me feel encouraging.T:So, the things in the restaurant may affect the people eating there. According to some science studies, it is our own feelings but not the things around us affecting us though different things may have different effects upon us.Step2ListeningAsk the students to listen to Amy and Tina talking about the two restaurants and do the exercises.T:Next well hear a dialogue between Amy and Tina.
