Teaching Aids Multi-media, the textbook, chalk and the blackboard.VI.Teaching steps Step 1. Greetings! Step2. Review How do you study English? I study by. Step 3. Lead-in I show a picture and ask “Whats the story?”and guide students to speak out “the Story of Change.” and ask “On that day, what food do people eat?” and I show picture of mooncakes .Then guide students to learn the new words. And I say “ I like mooncakes because I think that mooncakes are delicious.” .Then lead- in this unit learning.Step 4. PresentationI say: “The Story of Change tells something about a festival, do you know what the festival is? ”and guide students to learn the new expression “Mid-Autumn Festival”according to the picture on the screen of the multi-media.Then I teach the other new words and expressions in the same ways. Next ask students to do 1a in the textbook. Then I talk about the festivals with students using “I like, I think/believe/wonder.”according to some pictures on the multi-media. Step 5. Practice1.Ask students to do1a in the textbook2.Ask students to talk about the festivals according to the structures “I like, I think/believe/wonder”, then listen to the tape do 1b of P9.3.Ask students to role-play the conversation in 1c,and make their own conversations with their partners and then I ask some pairs to act out their conversations.4.Ask students to answer the questions and complete the passage with their partners in their group.(1)Which festival do you like(你喜欢哪个节日)?(2)What do you like best about the festival? Why?(对于这个节日你最喜欢什么?为什么?) (3)What food do you eat at this festival? (在这个节日里你吃什么食物)(4)What story or things do you know or see about the festival?(对于这个节日你知道什么故事或看到什么东西?)
