Greetings.T:Good morning, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning, Miss Yan.T:How are you?Ss: Im fine, thank you, and you?T:Im fine, too.2. Sing a songStep 2.Presentation.1. T: We learned some animals before, for example: cat, monkey, pig, duck Its a good day today, Ill take you to the zoo(review the word: zoo).Write the title: Unit 3 At the zoo 2. T:Please turn to page 253. New words:(1).Show students two pictures, make students find the difference. A monkey is thin, another one is fat.(2)Read the word: thin (3)Write the word: thin (students should write twice on their exercise books.)(4)Consolidate and correct students pronunciation.(5)The same way to teach new words: fat, thin, short. (6)Divide students into four groups. Play word games ,who wins can have a little star. At last, the group who have the most stars is the winner. There are four games:First one: The first student read the word aloud and touch another teammates hand, then he or she read it and do the same thing, until the last student in the group, exactly, the group will win a star.Second one: Use your hand touch the word card and read it loudly. Third one: Use your nose touch the word card and read it loudly.Last one: Use your head touch the word card and read it loudly.(correct students pronunciation and consolidate the new words. )4. Learn new sentences: Look at that Its (1) Review “Look at”, “that”.(2) T: Look at that PPT, Lets go to the zoo and come to know some animals.Ss: OK.T:whats this.Ss: Its a T: Can you act like a/an(Ask student to act animals.) T:look at the , its .(Students think about these sentences and imitate to create new sentences.)Show the pictures, students make sentences with “look at the , its .” and the teacher give appraisals. (3) T:Oh, look at the monkey, its thin.Ss: Yes.T: Fellow me,” Be thin, be thin, be thin thin thin”. Show the pictures to students, encourage the students to find the words: “fat”, “short”, “tall”. Consolidation Review the knowledge we have learned in this class: (1) Four words: thin, fat, tall, short.
