And section A is about geography and nature. To describe the facts, large numbers are mentioned in this period. Its also based on the grammar of comparatives and superlatives with adjectives. So teaching in this period is very important, student should learn how to read large number correctly, and know some facts about geography and nature, and use comparatives and superlatives with adjectives to describe them, which needs a lot of practice to consolidate. Teaching aims:Knowledge aims:1. Learn these new words: meter, deep, desert, square. 2. Learn some useful sentence patterns:How tall/heavy/high? Itstall/heavy/high.Which is the longest/highest/deepest/biggest?Qomolangma is the highest mountain. Its higher than any other mountain in the world.Ability aims:1. Learn how to ask and answer questions about facts.2. Use large numbers and comparatives and superlatives with adjectives to describe them.3. Improve listening and speaking abilities.Emotion aims:1.
