To enable Ss to make polite requests and ask for permission using the target language “Could you/I/we do sth?”.2. To enable Ss to learn some of the key words and expressions in the reading passage.情感态度与价值观目标:To guide Ss to make requests and ask for permission politely.To encourage Ss to share the housework with their mothers.Remember to be polite when you ask for help, and to be a good child.教学重点:Enable Ss to learn and apply the sentence patterns.Enable Ss to apply how to make requests and ask for permission politely. Guide Ss to enable good habit of living.教学难点:1. To improve the reading skills and develop the sense of English gradually. 2. To grasp how to use “could”.教法分析:主要采用任务阅读法,让学生主动参与阅读来获取信息,略读和查读,也是本节课着重训练的一项阅读策略。学法分析:自主阅读,带任务读并查找信息方法,小组合作,讨论观点及看法。教学用具:A tape recorder , CAI教 学 过 程 设 计教学内容及教师活动学生活动设 计 意 图Step 1 : Warm-up1. Greeting and review T: Good morning, class! Ss: Good morning, Miss!What chores can we help with? List them out. 2. Show students some pictures about chores, ask one student to help the teacher put them up on the blackboard. Then ask students if there is a more polite way to ask for help. Step 2 lead in Who does the housework in our home? Do you often help your mother with the housework? Let the students talk about them in groups. What will happen if no one does the housework in a home? Lets see what happened in Nancys home?Step 3 Reading 1. Read the passage in 3a silently and as quickly as you can to catch the main meaning. Answer the following questions. Why was Nancys mom angry with her?Did they solve the problem? How? 2. Read the passage carefully and silently to find the specific ideas. And finish the tasks in 3b. (show the Chinese meanings and the phonetic symbols of the new words on the PPT)3. Read aloud. First pronounce the new words aloud according to the phonetic symbols by themselves, then check their pronunciation, and offer help if necessary. Finally read aloud the passage , and try to retell it . 4. Fill in the blanks according to the passage.Last month, one day when Nancy got home, she felt too tired.
