Ss understand the past simple be. Skill aims: 1. Ss can predict before listening and catch the details while listening.2. Ss use the past simple be to talk about their past life.Emotion aims: Ss can express the love of their primary school, their first teachers and friends and will be stimulated their love of middle school and the teachers and friends now.Important points:1. The key words: strict, friendly, nice, good, difficult, town, village, was/were born.2. Whats the weather like today? Do you like swimming? Do you like reading? I like reading. When I was a student, I always read this book: look! It is an old cartoon book in my past life. Do you want to know more about my past life? Let me show you. (Showing the information of the teacher on PPT) I am Miss Chen. I was born in Hezhou. Hezhou is a small town in Guangxi. ( New words: was born, town)(由过去生活中实物导入,自然新鲜,引起学生兴趣)Step2. Learn the new words and structures.1. T introduces her past life and Ss learn the new words: primary school, first teacher, and first friend.(新词汇输入,同时表达教师自身情感,有意识引导学生对过去生活的回忆)2. T asks teaches students new words and structures and Ss practicing using new words and structures : -Where were you born?-I was born in -What was the name of your first school? -My first school was -Who was your first teacher? What was he/she like? Strict? Nice? Friendly? -My first teacher wasHe /She wasT: Our teachers are different, but we all love them. -Who was your first friend? What was he/she like?-My first friend was He /She was(词汇与句型输入,学生回答过程中既操练了词汇与句型,又唤醒了对母校、老师朋友的热爱之情。)Step 3. Listening to A1 & A2. T: Thank you for telling us your past life. But Betty was nor born in China. How was her past life? Lets listen to her. 1. Pre-listening: read the questions in A1 and predict what they are talking about.2. While-listening: 1st time: listen and number the questions2nd time: listen and check the true sentences.(听前预测,听中训练学生对细节的把握。答案呈现引入小组积分竞争,激发学生回答积极性)Step 4. Listening to A3.1. Ss talking in pairs. 3-4 pairs show their dialogue in front of the whole class.2. Do a survey and report. T interview one student about her past life as an example of the survey. T wrote a report about the student and Ss read the report. Ss interview other students and write a report. 3-4 students read their reports aloud.(学生在大量的文本例句输入后进行输出练习。话题贴近学生生活,紧扣本课主题,始终围绕过去生活中primary school, first teacher, first friend 展开。谈论对象由近及远,简单的对话到信息扩大且要求信息整合,难度逐步加大。学生能力提升的同时,也促加彼此的了解。既让学生明晰对过去学校、老师和同学的热爱,又加深了现在同学友情,实现了感情的升华。)T: We love our primary school, first teachers and first friends.
