Why not.?2.Learn how to ask for others opinons,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others advice.3.Cultivate students listening and speaking skills.Teaching Key Points:1.Master the key words and sentence patterns.2.Learn how to ask for others opinions,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others advice.Teaching Difficult Points:Learn how to ask for others opinions,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others advice.Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Lead-in1. Greet with Ss as usual and check their homework.2. Warm-up.Step 2 Presentation1. Teach the new words.Show the new words on the screen. Read the new words and ask Ss to repeat. Make sure that Ss understand the meanings of them.2. Teach activity 1a. T: These days kids have too much stress from school. Do you have any stress from school? What are they?Point to the problems and ask five Ss to read the problems to the class.Read each sentences again and ask Ss to repeat it. Ask Ss to explain in their own wordds what each sentence means. They can point to parts of the picture, use actions, simple drawings on the board and simple sentences.Step 3 Practice1. Teach activity 1b.Listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a. Listen twice. Then check the answers.2. Teach activity 1c.Eg: A: Whats wrong? B: Im really tired because I studied until midninght last night. C: Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?3. Look at the problems in 1a and make conversations like this.A: Whats wrong with you ?B: I . A: Why dont you?/Why not?B: Good idea. I will do it at once.Step 4 Listening1.Activity 2a T: Now Peter has a problem. His friend is givng him some advice. What is his problem? And what advice does his friend give? First listen to the conversation and find out what his problem is and what should he do? Fill in the blanks with could or should to finish the correct statement.Advice1. You _ write him a letter.2. You _ call him up.3. You _ talk to him so that you can say youre sorry.4. You _ go to his house.5. You _ take him to the ball game.Check the answers.2.Activity 2bT: Now we know about Peters problem and some advice. Does Peter accept these advice? Ss: No.T: Why doesnt Peter like his friends advice? Here are some reasons. Now lets read them first. Ask some individual Ss to read them aloud to the class. Explain the words and phrases they dont understand as needed.Listen again and match the advice with reasons. You need to write the letters next to the advice.Answers: d, e, a, c, b.3.Listen again and fill in the blanks,retell it one sentence by one sentence.Step 5 Language points.1.
