Unit 5 Section A 3a-3c教学目标1. 能听懂谈论个人过去某段时间的具体活动的的对话并记录关键信息。2. 掌握并运用过去进行时追溯过去。3. 能读懂追忆和描写重大事件的文段,并领悟事物的必然性和人的向心性。4.能描述现在与过去人物、事物的进程,简单阐述原因,并叙述自我感受。懂得在人生 各个阶段都会有令人难忘的记忆,如何面对并调整自我,并提升队人生的感悟。教学重点难点1、重点:运用was/ were doing句型追溯过去的事件和经历提升感悟.2、难点:能描述人物、事物过去的进程,阐述自己的感受,掌握When 和While在时间状语 从句中运用的区别。教学过程活动1【活动】PrereadingStep 1 Pre-reading1. lead in and learn the new expressions. Ask the students to look at the pictures and say something about the pictures.2. Show the pictures about the rainstorm, students to learn some new expressions about the rainstorm by looking, listening, guessing and repeating.T(teacher): Before the rainstorm, what should we do to prevent it?Ss(students) may have lots of answers. The teacher shows the things in the pictures onPPT: matches, candles, flashlights, radio.T: What will the neighborhood like after the rainstorm?Ss(students) may have lots of answers. Then, the teacher shows a picture, teacher : in a mess, break apart.T: look, the rainstorm broke many things apart. The neighborhood is in a mess.Ss repeat.T: What can a rainstorm break apart? Ss answer like this: it may break cars apart. 活动2【活动】whilereadingStep 2 while-reading 1. Hand out a piece of paper with the disordered paragraphs, ask the students to read and order them, write the number next to each paragraph. 2. Check the answers and ask them why they order them like that to make the students understand the clue of the passagetime and event. 3. Detail reading Each student will get a set of small pictures and turn to page 35 and read the passage. Put the pictures in the right order while reading the story. Ask one student to do it on the blackboard. 4. Check the answers and ask some questions according to the pictures to check if they understand the passage. 1) Guess the meaning of the two expressions: play the card, put the woods over the windows. The teacher asks: Whats this picture about? 2) Detail checking : point to some pictures and ask them to talk about what was happening.活动3【活动】postreadingStep 3 post-readingDiscuss in groups: Although the disaster bring people a lot of hurt and death, it also brings people closer togetherAsk the students to retell the passage in groups and then show their retelling in their favorite ways.To get the students to make clear the structure of the passage: before the rainstorm, during the rainstorm and after the rainstorm.Ask the students to talk about a rainstorm which happened on July 21st, 2012.First, the teacher shows some pictures to remind the students of that day.
