Play a guessing game“what chores does my son often do?” to review some phrases about doing chores and learn the new ones such as:take out the rubbish ,fold the clothes,sweep the floor.2. Show some pictures to test their memory.3.Have Ss make a conversation to talk about the chores ,then check pair works.Step3 ListeningListen to a dialogue between Peter and Peters mother.1. Pre-listening: Ask the students to predict“who will do the chores” to develop the listening skill of predictions.Encourage Ss to give reasons to support their predictions.2. While- listening: Ask Ss to check “who will do the chores”in 1b.3. Post-listening: Ask Ss to find out the sentences of making polite requests.Step4 Practice1. Read 1c and find out the expressions of making requests and responses.2. Pairwork:Make conversations using “Could you please .” by showing Ss some pictures .Step5 Listening1. Pre-listening: Ask Ss to look through the table and get some information so that they can get the answer more easily.2. While- listening: Listen twice,and finish 2a and 2b .3. Post-listening: Help Ss to recall the sentences of asking for permission.Step6 Practice 1.Read the conversation in 2c and find out the sentences to ask for permission.2.Make conversations between Peter and Peters father,using “Could I.”according to the pictures given.Step7 Role-play the conversation1.
