Careful reading 1. Event one: Martin Luther King was killed on April 4, 1968 in America.Ss listen to the paragraph 1 and 2, and find the details of the event. And after watching the speech I have a dream, then think about: Why did Alan Rustons family finish the rest of the dinner in silence? (设计意图:通过细节问题的设计,让学生了解叙述者Alan Ruston正做什么,感受如何;了解用what, who, when, where, how完成过去事件的叙述。 通过深层问题的设置,渗透情感教育。)2. Event two: The world Trade tower was taken down by terrorists in New York in September 11, 2001.T: What feeling can you see in Kate Smiths face? Why is she so sacred? Lets watch a clip of video.After watching the video, Ss read the paragraph 3 and 4 to know more about the event. Then work in pair and try to ask as many questions as possible with what ,when, where, how .
