将来完成时和将来进行时。本单元还向学生提供了一些阅读技巧、口头技巧和听力技巧，以便提高他们的阅读能力和听力能力。最后要求学生按照写作指导写一篇自己感兴趣的话题的短文。教师要借助听力、讨论、阅读、写作等一系列扎实有效的教学活动，进一步拓展学生的思维空间，激发他们的想象力，提高其语言运用能力。 1.1 warm-up 提供了五幅图画，让学生就图画内容和科学分支相匹配，从而引出话题，引导学生就科学发展回顾过去，认识现在和展望未来。激活学生相关知识，为本单元的进一步学习做热身准备。1.2 futurology分三部分：reading向学生展示了未来学家对未来世界的预测，激发了学生丰富的想象力，设想美好的未来；grammar通过一系列语法活动向学生介绍了两种时态 将来完成时和将来进行时；language in use要求学生两人一组，对对方十年后的生活进行预测，在情景中学会灵活运用将来完成时和将来进行时。1.3 artificial intelligence分三部分：listening先让学生看图画，对有关机器人的话题展开讨论。然后听一段采访录音，让学生运用一些表达法，学会如何阐明自己的观点和向对方提出问题。最后让学生学习一些听力技巧；vocabulary要求学生学会运用一些短语动词； comparing cultures要求学生两人一组就技术、媒体对文化、语言的影响进行讨论。1.4 scientific breakthroughs 分三部分： reading向学生介绍了几位科学先驱者对科学、对人类所做的伟大贡献，使学生尊敬科学，热爱科学；vocabulary 介绍了合成词的构成方式，帮助学生扩大词汇量；speaking 要求学生两人一组就阅读部分展开讨论，进一步深层理解阅读课文。1.5 communication workshop分三部分：writing 要求学生先阅读一篇“太空 最后一个尚待开发的领域”的文章，并完成相应的文后练习题。然后根据写作指导，最终完成一篇自己感兴趣的话题的短文；listening 要求学生听一首对将来预测的歌曲，使学生了解将来奇妙的世界；speaking 先要求学生听一段口头报告，然后给出学生一些常用的口头表达法，向学生介绍口头表达的一些技巧和方法，最后要求学生在全班同学面前就某一话题进行口头汇报和展示。 1.6 language awareness5首先让学生阅读一篇关于英国某一乡村的文章，然后借助此文章让学生学习代词的用法。1.7 culture corner让学生阅读一篇介绍中国古代四大发明的文章，根据文章讨论问题，从而增强学生的民族自豪感。 1.8 bulletin board 向学生介绍了在将来有可能发明的两样东西，从而激发学生的想象力，各自写出最希望将来出现的新发明。 1.9 unit diary不仅帮助学生总结回顾本单元所学的知识，而且提示同学制定下一单元计划，以利于更好地学习。2. 教材重组2.1将warm-up , futurology中的reading, culture corner，bulletin board及workbook (page 67 )中的练习题7整合在一起上一节“阅读课(i)”。 2.2将futurology中的grammar, language in use及workbook (pages 66和67) 中的练习题1- 6整合在一起上一节“语法课”。2.3将artificial intelligence中的listening, communication
