首先,EVA3000/5000/8000/8100默认配置都是每个控制器有两块电池组,而EVA4X00/6X00每个控制器只有一个电池组。 EVA4000/6000, 写回方式可以支持242小时。 EVA3000 Replacing a Cache BatteryUse the information in this section to replace a cache battery.Determining the Status of a Cache BatteryThe status of a cache battery is reported in two ways: Internal monitoring circuits provide information to the controller, which passes thisinformation to the Command View EVA software. A status LED in the lower right corner of the cache battery specifies the condition of thecache battery cells. This status LED is normally OFF. If any cell fails, its amber status LED will be ON. When the amber琥珀色 LED is ON, you must replace the corresponding cache battery. When the amber LED is ON on both batteries, you must replace both cache batteries.Battery Assembly(集合)Replacement ProcedureNotice the following important points regarding servicing of cache battery assemblies: Never remove batteries from the controller while it is powered down. Replace a cachebattery only when the controller power is on. Replace any cache battery when the amber status LED is ON. Never install a battery that was previously failed by any controller. Failed batteries are tobe returned or destroyed as described on the battery label. Caution: Failure to comply with(遵从) the above conditions will put the customers data at risk. When one battery assembly is removed from a controller, a two-minute “grace timer”starts. During this time interval, the cache policy is not affected, giving you time to installa new battery assembly. If this two-minute timer expires, the cache state will be based onthe charge of the remaining battery (most likely low). See Table 39 on page 192 for adescription of the relationship of battery state and cache policy. If the second battery assembly is removed, the timer is cancelled and the battery stateis changed to “bad.” 两个都被移除的话,电池充电状态为“bad” If the battery state is low to begin with, the grace timer has no impact. When any one of the three cells in a battery assembly fails, the controller assumes thatboth assemblies on this controller have failed. The battery system on this controller isdeclared “bad.” If the battery state on the other controller is not failed, the virtual disks aremoved to the other controller to maintain host access. Both battery assemblies on thefailed controller must be removed before any new battery assemblies are installed. Batteries stored for a long period of time (measured in years) will experience aself-discharge that may prevent them from charging when installed in a controller.Complete the following procedure to replace a cache battery assembly. Note: The Corrective Action Codes in the event logs designate the cache battery assembly closest to the cache battery door hinge as the Number 1 unit and the cache battery assembly farthest from the cache battery door hinge as the Number 2 unit.1. Grasp the bezel (1, Figure 95) at both ends. Then pull the bezel away from the controller. Figure 95: Accessing and opening the cache battery compartment2. Loosen the battery compartment door captive thumbscrews (2, Figure 95).3. Pull out on the cache battery door (1, Figure 96) until it is in the full, open position.Figure 96: Replacing a battery assembly4. Remove any battery assembly with an amber status LED that is ON.5. If the amber status LED is illuminated on(点亮) both cache batteries, then you must remove both batteries from the compartment, together at the same time, prior to installing two new cache batteries.Caution: If the amber status LED is illuminated on both batteries, you must first remove the two failing cache batteries and then install the new cache batteries. If you do not remove both batteries showing an amber status LED together at the same time, prior to installing the new batteries, the original failure may be propagated to(宣传、繁衍)the newly installed cache battery.6. Align the replacement cache battery 2 edge connector with the controller connector.Insert the cache battery into the controller until the cache battery is fully seated.固定When inserting the cache battery into a controller with power applied, the amber statusLED in the lower right corner will initially be ON. Based on the system operation, it mayremain ON for up to two minutes, after which time, it will turn OFF. 7. Repeat step 6 for the second cache battery if you are replacing both batteries and thenproceed to step 8. If replacing only one cache battery, proceed to step 8.8. Close the cache battery door, and finger tighten the cache battery door captive thumbscrews.9. Align the bezel mounting studs with the controller enclosure mounting holes. Firmly presson the bezel until it is fully seated on the controller enclosure.10. Allow between 4 and 8 hours for the battery to become fully charged. Note: Once a failed battery is removed, it can never be installed again. Process a failed cachebattery as described on the cache battery label.Cache Battery AssembliesEach HSV-series controller has two lead-acid cache battery assemblies that provide power tothe cache memory dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs). Each battery assembly has threelead-acid, nonspillable cells. The battery assemblies protect the half of the controllers cachememory in which writeback data is stored; read data is not battery protected. The two battery assemblies are not redundant(非冗余). Both assemblies are required to achieve the rated hold-up time(获取额定的). When both battery assemblies are fully charged, they can provide power to the DIMMs for 96 hours (see “Cache Battery Hold-Up Time and Cache Policy” below. These cells are mounted in a plastic case, which is the battery assembly (see Figure 85). The orientation方向定位label is located in the upper left corner at the rear of the case. The battery assembly amber status LED (1 in Figure 85) is located in the lower rightcorner at the rear of the case.Figure 85: HSV110 controller cache battery assemblyThe battery assemblies are located in a compartment behind the Operator Control Panel(OCP).The status of a cache battery is reported in two ways:查看状态两种方法 Internal monitoring circuits provide information to the controller, which passes thisinformation to the Command View EVA software. A status LED in the lower right corner of the cache battery specifies the condition of thecache battery cells. This status LED is normally OFF. If any cell fails, its amber status LED will be ON. When an amber LED is ON, you must replace the corresponding cache battery. The cache batteries in the HSV110 controller are different from the cache batteries in theHSG80 controller in several ways: In the HSV110 controller, cache batteries are required. The HSV110 controller does nothave an equivalent to the HSG80 “UPS DataCenter” mode. In the HSV110 controller, the battery system on one controller is not linked to the batterysystem on the other controller. In the HSV110 controller, cache mirroring may be enabled and disabled on a per-diskbasis rather than on a controller-pair basis.Cache Battery Hold-Up Time and Cache PolicyFigure 86 depicts the relationship of cache battery hold-up time and cache policy.Figure 86: Relationship of cache battery hold-up time and cache policyWhen the battery system on one controller is no longer “good,” the controller will move thedisk drives to the other controller if its battery state is better, as shown in Table 39.Table 39: Effect of Bat
