Unit 4 Dont eat in class. Section B Reading(2a-2c)一、Teaching Objectives:1、Knowledge Objectives: 1)Learn to use the Model Verbs; 2)Learn to get the main idea of the passage and retell the passage; 3)Learn how to a write a letter and how to reply a letter.2、Ability Objectives: 1)Being able to talk about rules with using the Model Verbs; 2) Improving the reading skills from getting the main idea and catching the most important part of the passage;3、Moral Objectives: 1)Understand rules which parents and school made deeply; 2)Have students know that “ no rules, no standards” and have students follow the rules in their daily life. 二、Teaching Emphasis: 1)Use “ must, have/ has to, cant.” to express ones rule; 2) Get to know the rules that Molly has and Dr. Knows advice.三、Teaching Difficulties: 1) Try to retell the passage according to the key points; 2) Write your own troubles about rules and try to give your friends some advice about their troubles. 四、Teaching Methods: Task-based language teaching, communicative language teaching,pair work and group work五、Teaching Aids: PPT, Phrase cards, colorful pens, charts. 六、Teaching Procedures:. Warming-up and lead in. 1. Greeting all the studentsT: Hows the weather today?S: Its sunny.T: Why are you so tired? ( ask one of the students in class) Did you have too much homework last night?S: .2. Duty Report One of the students does the report, and others take notes during the report. After the report, the student who makes the duty report will ask others some questions about it. 3. Lead in 1) Do you have home rules and school rules as Brenda( the student who made the report)? And what are the rules? 2)How do you feel about the rules? 3)When you are unhappy about something, who do you like to talk to? . Presentation 1st Reading: Whom does Molly write to? Who is Dr. Know? Why does Molly write to Dr. Know? 2nd reading: 1) Today we will meet a new friend, Molly. She also has many rule at home and at school ? Read the first letter and list the rules Molly has.2) Read the second letter and say the advice Dr. Know gave. 3rd Reading: Listen to the recording and pay attention to the model verbs have to/ must/ can/ cant, and finish 2c. 1. Molly _ play basketball on school days, but she _ play it on weekends.2. Molly _ do her homework first when she gets home.3. Molly _ read a book after dinner before she _ watch TV.4. At school, Molly _ be noisy or eat in class. 5. Parents and schools make rules to help students. So students _ follow the rules.(keys: 1. Cant; can 2. Has to/ must 3.has to/ must; can 4. cant 5. have to/ must) .Practice. Have students work in groups and retell the two letters. ( one Molly and one Dr. Know. Students can retell the passage according to the key points listed on the blackboard) Rules Advice Get up at 6:00 Think about the rules Make my bed Play basketball on weekends Wash the dishes after breakfast Watch TV after you read a book Cant be late/ noisy/ eat in class Remember they make rules to help you Cant play basketball after school Follow the rules Do homework first Read a book before watching TV Go to bed before 10:00IV. Production. 1. Dr. Know gave some advice to Molly. Do you have any other idea to help her? Talk about the solutions. 2. Come back to the duty report Brenda made. Write a letter to help Brenda. 3. Ask students read his or her letter in front of the class. V. Summary. 1. Have students conclude the two letters weve learned today. 2. Have students the aims of making rules. No rules, no standards. VI. Homework. 1. Retell the two letters; 2. Complete the letter and polish the letter. VII. Blackboard Design Rules Advice Get up at 6:00 Think about the rules Make my bed Play basketball on weekends Wash the dishes after breakfast Watch TV after you read a book Cant be late/ noisy/ eat in class Remember they make rules to help you Cant play basketball after school Follow the rules Do homework first Read a book before watching TV Go to bed before 10:00教学反思 本节课是一节阅读课,基于本单元学习在家规及校规之后,结合写给Dr.Know 的信以及Dr.Know 写的回信,进一步在学会表述不同类型的规则,并且让学生能够深入理解家长及学校制定规则的原因,旨在让学生自觉地去遵守规则,理解家长理解老师,以促进学生各个方面的发展。上完本节课之后,有如下反思:本节课优点有:1. 环节设计紧凑,从听说读写四个方面锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力;2. 情感目标设计明确,让学生能充分理解家长、理解老师,从侧面促进学生
