Leading in. Watch a video about predictions of our life.2. Presentation.(1)Show the new words and the sentence: I will inyears.Give Ss 30 seconds to think about your own prediction about yourself and tell us about their predictions.(2)Show the sentence: I wont inyears.Give Ss 30 seconds to think about your own prediction about yourself and tell us about their predictions.3. Practice.Show one prediction to the students. And ask the students to look at 1a. Discuss the unknown words& phrases in your group.4. Making conversations.(1)First make the students read these predictions below. 1. People will have robots in their homes.2. People wont use money. Everything will be free.3. Books will only be on computers, not on paper.4. Kids wont go to school. Theyll study at home on computers.5. People will live to be 200 years old.(2) Then make the students use the conversation in 1c to discuss the other predictions in 1a. For example:A: Will he live to be 200 years old?B: Yes, he wontA: Will people have robots in their homes?B: Yes, they will.A: Will people use money in 100 years?B: No, they wont. Everything will be free.5. Practice.(1)First let the students look at the picture and then make them use “There will be.”to predict our world.(2) First let the students look at the picture and then make them use “There wont be”to predict our world.6. Presentation.(1)Show the usages of “more/fewer/less” and make the students master the differences of these words.(2)Make students fill in the blanks with the words “more/fewer/less”. Check the answers.7. Listening.(1)Make the students listen and check () the predictions they hear. Check the answers._ 1. There will be fewer people. _ 2. There will be less free time._ 3. People will use the subways less._ 4. There will be more pollution. _ 5. Cities will be very big and crowed. (2)Make students listen to it again and fill in the blanks. Check the answers.8. Group work. (1)Make students write the crazy prediction they think and give it to their group leader. And then the leader stick it to the blackboard. At last, the group leader reports their results.(2)The teacher chooses the best group that has the craziest prediction and finishes the task most quickly.9. Summary. Sum up what we learnt today.10. Homework. Draw a picture of what you think a city in 20 years will be like. Write your predictions about the city and describe it to the class.六.
