Go through the objectives2. New words studying Learn by yourselves(自主学习). Show the new words. Students read first. Then teacher help them. Then translate the English into Chinese on the screen. Then read them aloud three times.3Review Look and say. How to describe peoples looks? (We can from hair、 build、height、wears、five organs to describe).(1) Show two photos of famous actors. Ask students to describe them. What does he/she look like?(2)Look and say. Show pictures. Ask students to compare the photos then find the differences and the same.(3)Finish the task activity (2a) check the answers.Step 3 Reading1. Prereading (阅读指导) Show the reading strategies and habits to help students study2. Task 2b. Look at the three pictures in 2b what do they look like? Find the differences Describe each picture quickly. Now read the article to find which picture shows the real criminal. If you find the answer. Please hand up. Then check the answer: Picture 3.3. 自主学习(Group work):Look at the points then under line in the article. Try to translate them into Chinese.(不会大胆问). Then check the answers. Ask students to translate one by one.4. Read again and answer the questions below. Get students to look through the questions. Then student read the article (teacher help). Then cheek the answers.
