To increase the students vocabulary . Ill ask them to read aloud one by one . Some pictures show different looks of some people . Help the students understand some words and phrases . ( heavy ; thin ; tall ; short ; be of medium height ; be of medium build etc. ) (2) Sentence pattern The pictures show different looks, the students can speak them out easily . And present the question ( What does he look like ? ). I can help the students answer the questions . ( He is tall. / He has short hair. / He is of medium build. Etc. )(3) New words focus Help the students find how to describe a person by using be + adj. and have / has + noun. . Then present a chart .2. Practice Read the new words again to help the students grasp them . 1a. The picture shows two girls inside a subway station . They are watching passengers exiting a train as they are waiting for a friend , one girl ask what does he look like . The other girl gives a description .3. Listening 1b . To give the students listening practice with the target language . 4. Pairwork In 1c, the students are asked to imagine that someone in 1a is their friend . Instead , tell them to pick a friend or classmate in the classroom . Their partner can easily identify the person by looking around the classroom and find someone that fits the description .5. Listening To give the students listening practice with the target language .6. Practice To help the students use the target language in conversations.Student A looks at the chart in 2b. Student B asks student A questions about one of the people and then draw a picture of the person. (2c) 7. Game Its a guessing game . Ask one student to describe a person who is known by most students . Then according to his description , other students guess who he/ she is .8. Pairwork To give the students the opportunity to use the target language in a controlled manner .9. Summary Ask the student to sum up what they learn from this
