人教版八年级上册Unit6 Im going to study computer science.Section B 2a-2e武汉市黄陂区前川三中 张琴庆Teaching material analysis(教材分析): 本节课是在本单元Section B部分承上启下的一节课,在sectionB1a-1e中主要以对话的形式谈论人们的不同种类的新年决心,本节课则是对新年决心的进一步谈论,让学生们对新年决心的相关内容有更明确的了解,为下节写作课写新年决心做铺垫。Learning situation analysis(学情分析): 本班学生的英语学习有两极分化的趋势,但是绝大部分学生会跟着听。有一部分学生会主动思考(A层次),学习积极性也较浓,不畏艰难;学困生缺乏主动学习的态度(C层次),但是他们对于英语视频及歌曲有一定的兴趣,所以会有针对的性的设计一些适合他们的能够激发他们英语兴趣的内容。从而让他们在每一次的英语课堂上都有或多或少的收获。Teaching aims and demands(教学目标):1. 知识与技能目标:1)、掌握与新年决心相关的重点单词、短语及句式:resolution, team, foreign, able, be able to, question, meaning, discuss, promise, beginning, write down, physical, themselves, have to do with; self-improvement, take up, hobby, weekly, schoolwork,physical health,improve yourself. 2)、能掌握以下句式结构: What are you going to do next year? Im going to take guitar lessons. Many resolutions have to do with self-improvement. Theyre going to take up a hobby like painting. Sometimes the resolutions may be too difficult to keep. 3)、了解何为新年决心,为什么要下新年决心,如何来坚持自己的新年决心,新年决心的种类,新年决心的问题等。4)、谈论什么是最好的新年决心。2.过程与方法目标:通过扫读,朗读,书写,小组合作等方式完成知识与技能目标3.情感态度价值观:每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。人们也常谈论他们的决心,因此,应通过学习这节课的内容来激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。Teaching key and difficult points(重点和难点):1.Teaching key points(教学重点):掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生们的综合阅读能力。了解何为新年决心,为什么要下新年决心,如何来坚持自己的新年决心,新年决心的种类,新年决心的问题等。2. Teaching difficult points(教学难点):通过扫读来快速找到关键词完成习题的阅读技能。根据文章大意来还原文章。Teaching preparation(教学准备):课前让学生做好相关预习,熟读本节课出现的生词并想想自己的新年决心。Teaching procedures(教学过程):Step. Warming- up and revision1. Daily greeting.2. Brainstorm.Let the Ss name the occupations that they come up with as many as possible:teacher, nurse, doctor, actor, actress, runner, basketball player, pilot, waiter, computer programmer, pianist, scientist, violinist 学生们可以小组为单位进行比赛,看谁写出来的最多。(在五分钟内)3. The Ss talk about their ideals and plans freely.I want to be an engineer. Im going to study math. 让学生们依次说出他们的理想及打算如何去做。(可以用大屏幕提示职业或用学生们自己刚才写的职业) Step. Presentation1. Let the students watch a video and ask “what is the video about?”2. Let some Ss answer the question and learn some new words by using PPT. 3. Present some other New Years Resolutions on the big screen.e.g.get good grades; learn to play the piano; exercise more; meet her parents .4. Lead Ss to read new words /phrases and encourage them to remember them. Step . Group work and practice (2a). 1. Work in groups. Make a list of resolutions and how you are going to make them work. Then discuss with your group. 2. Ask some pairs to act out the conversations. 3. Ask Ss the two questions: Did you make any resolutions last year? Were you able to keep them? Why or why not? Step . Pre-reading stage(2b).1. T: This passage is about resolutions. What is the meaning of resolution? Now read the passage quickly and find out the key words/sentences.2. Let Ss read the sentences in the box first. Let some Ss say the meanings.Then scan the passage again and match each paragraph with its main purpose according to some mind maps one by one. 3. After finishing each mind map. The Ss should underline the words and phrases that helped them decide. 4. Teacher leads Ss read the key words of each paragraph in mind maps. Step .While-reading stage(2c). 1. T: Now lets work on 2c. First, lets read the sentences and make sure we know the meanings of all the sentences. Then read the passage again and chose which paragraph in the passage each sentence goes in. 2. 方法指导:首先,应读懂五个句子的意思;然后,带着这五个句子再次认真阅读短文的内容,特别是认真阅读空格前后句子的意思,以便根据上下文意及整个段落的意思来确定空格处应填的句子。 综合段落的主旨大意及空格上下文的意思,确定最贴切的答案。3. Ss read carefully and try to find the answers to the questions. 4. Check the answers with the class. Step . Post-reading stage.1. T: Read the passage again. Then answer the questions with short sentences. (1). What is a resolution?(2). When do people usually make resolution?(3). Why people usually make resolutions?(4). How can people remember their resolutions?(5). How many kinds of resolutions does the writer talk about?(6). Why do you think resolutions may be difficult to keep?(7). Do you think the best resolution is to have no resolutions?2. 方法指导:首先,读懂这五个问题的意思;然后,带着问题再次阅读短文,为相关问题找到恰当的答语;如果没有直接的答案,还应根据自己对课文的理解并结合自己的生活经验来给出一个恰当的答案。如:第4和第5小题都应是回答自己的想法。3. Ss try to answer the questions. Then discuss the answers with your partners. 4.合作探究have to do, make promises, have in common, write down, for this reason, take up 在文章中的意思。(展示点评:分层次展示探究结果,对于不同层次的同学给与不同程度的加分,鼓励B,C层次的同学发言激发他们的学习兴趣。)5. Play the tape and Ss repeat.Step . Discussing and summary.1.First show a picture of myself and let Ss guess teachers resolutions.I am going to lose weight.I am going to eat less and exercise more.2. Then Ss talk about their New Years resolutions. 3. Summary: (1) Resolutions(决心) + Actions(行动) = Success(成功)(2) 学习目标的达成情况尽量由学生总结, 不到之处有教师补充。Step Homework.You must: Write a short passage about your partners resolutions.You can: Try to retell
