Strengthen what the students have learned in class by doing a talent show.3. Moral objectsTrain the students to describe peoples looks, lead them to watch each other carefully. Love life and bring up the feeling of beauty.Teaching importance and difficulties:Importance: 1. Master the new words and expressions. 2. Use these new words and phrases to describe people. 3. The usage of is, has and “wear”. Difficulties: 1. How to use the new words properly. 2. When to use is, has and wear. . Teaching procedures:Step1. Leadin:Play the English song “Funny faces”. Then the students and the teacher sing together.The teacher asks three questions to have a free talk:1 Do you have favorite persons?2 Which one do you like best?3 Can you describe him/her?Students can give their different answers.Step2. Presentation:1. The teacher goes on asking:Look at the two pictures, can you say the bodys names?Who can say more and quickly, boys or girls?Then the students race to be the first to answer a question.2. Pair work: Show some pictures to teach new words. Let the students read after the teacher. Then divide them into groups of four people to describe the pictures, and find the differences among the pictures. Let the students know when to use is, has and wear. Then we do some listening practice and finish 1b 2a and 2b. And then check the answers.Step3. A guessing game Let the students work in pairs to describe each other, then the teacher choose one student to draw some one in our class on the blackboard, while drawing, he is explaining the painting of his position and characteristics, the other students guess Who is he/she. Who can say the right answer, who can get a flag.Step4. Talent show The teacher designs a situation, the main idea is about looking for lost friend. The teacher asks three students to perform in the front of the classroom. One day, Tom lost his frind, he was worried, so he planed to put a paper on the wall.
