Maybe other animals.T: Why do you like them?S: Because they are cute and shy.T: Where are they from?S: They are from China.T: What animals does he like?S2: He likes pandas.(Ask other three students to have a free talk like this.)Show the pictures to the students;(When we talk about “pandas and koalas”, we can think of “ China and Australia”We can say the panda is a symbol of China. (Write the Symbol on the Bb)We can also say the koala is a symbol of Australia.)Do you know where elephants are from?Ask a student to give us an answer. They are from South Africa. T; Yes.The elephants are also from Aisa,especially in Thailand.(show the picture of Thailand )T: The elephants is one of Thailands symbols. Elephants are very important in Thailand. Right? (show the flags to the students)T: This is a national flag of Thailand.(Write the word “flag” on the Bb and teach it) This was their first flag. It had a white elephant on it. It is very important. Many people like them. They think elephants can bring good luck to them. Do you know what elephants can do? Ask one students to tell the others. S: The elephant can draw”T: Yes. It can draw. Look here and talk about what elephants can do.T: In picture one : The elephant can ride a bike. (Let the students read the sentences together)T:Now, In picture Two S1: The elephant can play soccer.(show the pictures to the students)The elephant can ()Whats this in Chinese? Its “象牙” In English Its ivory. (Write the word “ivory “ on the Bb.We can use the ivory to make many things and they are very expensive.So People kill them for their ivory. (进行板书 Kill) There are fewer and fewer elephants in the world. The elephants are in great danger. (Write the phrases “ in great danger” on the Bb.)Many students know this. So they write an article on the Internet. Lets read the article about the elephants.Show the ppt to the students.Read it fast and answer the questions: 1.2.3.(板书 over)Then check their answers。Read the article carefully and fill in the mind map:1Lets read paragraph One /Para Two / and Para Three.填起来the mind map then Check their answers. 填第二段:板书 单词 forget / place 短语: get lost.填第三段: 板书 save 短语 cut down made of We have finished reading the article and lets choose the best title:Ok C is right Lets save the elephant.Now ,lets tell something about elephants.1.
