Aim of ability:Master the following structures to describe different kinds of weather and express what people are doing in different weather: - Hows the weather in Beijing? / - Whats the weather like in Beijing?- Its sunny. - What are they doing? - They are cooking.3. Aim of emotion:Save for a rainy day, enjoy the life.二、Teaching important and difficult points:1. important points:1) Learn the vocabularies to describe the weather.2) Master the structure:-Hows the weather in ?/Whats the weather like in ?-Its raining/ windy.2. difficult points:Use the right structures to talk about what people are doing in different weather.三、Teaching process:. Warming-up and Leading-in:1. Greet the students.2. Watch pictures about the sunny weather: T: What are the students doing? Are they happy? So am I. Because I love the sunny days. Is it a sunny day today? Today, lets learn different kinds of weather. Presentation:1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Learn the new words.Ss look at the pictures, tell them each one is and ask how the weather is in each picture.Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures.Ss come to the blackboard, and turn the noun into the adjectives.Ss tell the rule to turn the noun of the weather into the adjectives.2. Match the words with pictures in 1a. Check the answers. Ss say: Its in picture A/B/.3. (Showing some pictures on the big screen.) Learn the structures.T: Ask Ss “Where is it?” “Hows the weather in ?/Whats the weather like in ?” Learn the structures by asking and answering the questions.T: Let Ss tell how to ask about the weather.4. Listening.T: Different cities have different weather. Now, Well hear four conversations. Listen carefully, write out each city name in the pictures. Check the answers. Ss say: Picture A is Toronto. / Ss ask and answer question in groups: How is the weather in ?5. Pairwork.T: Tell the Ss: If you are in one of these places in the picture above. Your partner is in another city. Make a telephone call to talk about the weather in your city.Ss: Show the dialogues in groups.6. Learn to sing a song: How is the weather?T: Let student sing along with the music. And try to compete with each other.7. Look at the pictures and talk about: What are they doing?T: Do you like singing? People like doing their favorite things.Ss: Answer the qurestions.8. Listening.T: Listen to Linda and JIms telephone call, who are they talking about? Listen and number the pictures1-4.Let students say the order.T: What are Jims family doing? Listen again and match the names with the activities.Check the answers. Ss: Ask and answer in groups like the dialogue in 2c:-What is doing? -He/She is .9. Writing challenge.T: Write a short passage in groups of four,talk about: the weather, what you are doing and how you feel.Ss: Show each groups passage and see which group is the best.T: Congratulations to them.
