Period 1Analysis of teaching materialThe topic of this unit is about important buildings in a neighborhood and how to ask and give directions on the street, which is closely related to students daily life.Analysis of learnersStudents of Grade one are willing to express their ideas and interested in this topic but they may lack of proper vocabulary to put across their thoughts.Teaching goalStudents will be able to ask for and give directions on the street in a simple way.Teaching objectives1. Knowledge Objectives1) Students will be able to use new words and phrases about public buildings, esp. post office, police station, hotel etc.2) Students will be able to use prepositions of place when giving directions2. Ability Objectives1) Students will be able to use is there structure to ask for directions.2) Students will be able to use prepositions of place to give directions.3.
