The main idea of this period is to use the new words to describe the weather in different seasons,greet others and train the students listening skills.There are some new words and expressions in this period.I will lead the students to learn to use the new words and the sentence patterns. Then I will train the students listening skills by using the new words and the sentence patterns .Teaching Aims:1. Knowledge Objects(1)Function: To train students listening,speaking,reading and writing skills. (2)Key vocabularies:dry ,hot,cold,warm.(3)Sentence patterns:-Hi!Hows it going? -Hello!Oh,.not too bad.(4) Structure:”How” question2. Ability Objects Train students abilities of listening,speaking,reading and writing 3. Moral Objects(1)To help the students realize the importance of cooperation. (5)To enable the students to protect the environment.Teaching Key Points1. Key vocabulary in this period2. Target language in this periodTeaching Difficult points1. Improve students listening skills.2. Let students express their own ideas freely.Teaching procedures:Step 1.Greeting and Revision(2 minutes)1.Greet the class as usual 2.Have students talk about the weather.Let the Students review the sentence patterns learned last class.Whats the weather like today?Step2.Presentation(5 minutes)New-words teaching.Show some pictures.Teach the 4 seasons in a year.Then teach 4 new words to describe the weather in the four seasons:dry ,cold,hot ,warm.Step3.Pair work.(5 minutes)In order to consolidate the new words.Let the Ss do 1a and then use the new words to describe the weather in different seasons.-Whats the weather like in .Hows the weather in .?-Its warmhot coldcooldry.Step4.Presentation(8 minutes)What do you like to do for fun in different seasons?E.g. Its a good season to do.Because it is .Step5.Group workHave a competition game.In order to let the students be active.divide the Ss into 2 groups.Boys are in the Team Sun.Girls are in Team Moon.If they can answer the question as quickly as possible.They will get their points.(1)Round 1.
