I went to / I visited . Students can talk about their vacation is to spend with the relevant sentences .Teaching focus :1 Master the questions and answers.2 Correct use of indefinite pronouns: someone,anyone,something,anythingDifficult points in teaching:1 To help students build using the auxiliary verb did questioning consciousness as well as the use of predicate verb prototype .2 Transformation in declarative sentences and interrogative sentences and the adjective post limit .Affective goal :1 Learn to communicate with the past tense, the cultivation of students awareness of environmental protection, love nature.2 Understanding of famous tourist attractions at home and abroad. Such as the Huangguoshu Waterfall, the Central Park in New YorkTeaching strategies :Direct teaching method; communicative situations; cooperative method.Teaching preparation :Tape recorder, tape, multimedia coursewareTeaching contents:Step1 Warming up and leading in 1 Greetings.T : Boys and girls ! Nice to see you . I think we all had a great time in our summer holiday .Im sure most of you went on a trip during your holidays . Lets talk about the interesting places we visited together .2 Leading in Teacher introduces his own holiday and students are required to tell what they hear in the holidays.T:I had a wonderful time during my holiday . I went to Qinhuangdao and visited my uncle with my son . We stayed there for three days . On the first day I went to mountains with my uncle but my son went to a summer camp with his cousins .The next day all of us went to the beach .On the third day it rained ,so we stayed at home all day . The students say the holiday activities they hear .Teacher writes them down on the blackboard.Step 2 Presentation1 Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss read the expressions.2. Focus attention on the picture. Ask: What can you see? Say: Each picture shows something a person did in the past. Name each activity and ask students to repeat: stayed at home, went to mountains, went to New York City ,Went to the beach, visited my uncle, visited museums, went to summer camp (Guide the students to read out the active phrases, teachers as do the necessary corrective and demonstration. After confirming the students to read the expression, let them complete the activities in accordance with the requirements of 1a.3. Now, please match each phrase with one of the pictures next to the name of the activity,point to the sample answer.4. Check the answers. Answers: 1. f 2. b 3. g 4. e 5. c 6. a 7. dAnd then let the students talk about their holidays with these holiday activities .They can say : I went to mountains . I stayed at home .And so on .Step 3 Listening :1a and 1b1.The teacher asked the students to read the 1b name in the box. Then let the students to predict who did what the theme in the figure. After that the teacher and the students exchange with “Who stayed at home ? Then change others . (Both to the past practice of declarative sentence structure, and can help students further listening activities of the forthcoming formation of look forward to)2. Play the recording the first time. 3. Play the recording a second time. (Say: There are three conversations. The people talk about what they did on vacation. Listen to the recording and write numbers of the names in the right boxes of the picture. )4. Check the answers. 5. Pair work :1c1)Point out the sample conversation. Ask two Ss to read the conversation to the class. 2) Now work with a partner. Make your own conversation about the people in the picture. 3) Ss work in pairs. As they talk, move around the classroom and give any help they need. 4) Let some pairs act out their conversations. Step 4 Listening:2a and 2bTeachers talk freely with students expand exchanges, understanding students holiday activities, talk deliberately prominent indefinite pronouns. For example “Did you go with anyone ?Did you meet anyone interesting ?Did you eat anything delicious ?” Then introduce their holiday activities in the form of statements. Pay attention to these words “something ,someone”Before they listen to the conversations , ask them to pay attention to the following questions: How many people are there in the conversations ? What are their names ? Where was this girl ? Was she in a park ? Or was she on the beach ?1. Tell Ss they will hear a conversation about three students conversations. Listen for the first time and fill in the chart. Then listen again and check Yes, or No. 2. Let Ss read the phrases in the chart of 2b. 3. Play the recording the first time. Ss listen and fill in the chart. 4. Play the recording a second time for the Ss to check “Yes, I did.” or “No, I didnt. ” 5. Check the answers with the Ss. 6. Pair work :2c1) Let two Ss read the conversation between Grace, Kevin and Julie. 2) Let Ss work in pairs and try to role-play the conversation. 3) Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. Step 5 Role-play 2dT : I also went to Huangguoshu Waterfall in my summer holiday . (Show some pictures of Huangguoshu Waterfall on the big screen and introduction to some of the knowledge of Huangguoshu Waterfall)T:Huangguoshu Waterfall is an interesting and wonderful place in Guangzhou .You can see quite a few waterfalls in China , but Huangguanshu Waterfall is very special . Its special because its great and beautiful . Its the biggest waterfall in China . I took lots of photos of this waterfall and here are some .Show them these words on the screen : waterfall , wonderful ,special ,quite a few . Help students to clear obstacles ne
