Ability aims: Can understand the sentences and conversations about appearances and traits.(3). Affective aims: Foster students abilities of cherishing the friendships between them and friends. Important teaching points: Sam has longer hair than Tom . Both Sam and Tom can play the drums, but Sam plays them better than Tom. Difficult teaching points: The comparatives degrees. Teaching method: Tasked-based language teaching method. Learning method: Listening and pair work. Teaching aids: PowerPoint, chalk. Teaching procedures and contents: Step 1. Write the opposites of the following adjectives:(1).old_ (2).busy_ (3).early_(4). good_ (5). like_ (6). happy_(7). healthy_ (8). friendly_ (9). expensive_4. Finish 1a, then check answers.Step 3. Pair work.1. Learn and find.(1). Learn the sentences in the picture. (Teacher explains the sentences. Students read after teacher, and students read together.)(2). Compare the sentences:a. Ask some groups to show their conversations on the class.Step 4. Learning adjectives and adverbs comparatives.1.
