I want to be a basketball player. How are you going to do that?Im going to practice basketball every day.【Key points】1. Learn the new words and expressions about jobs. 2. Learn and use the structure of “be going to”to talk about future inteitions.【Moral objects】 Everyone has a dream and students should work hard to make their dreams come true.【Teaching procedures】Step1. Lead-in1. 利用视频复习以前所学过的一些“职业的英语词汇:teacher, student, doctor, writer , policeman ,waiter.2. 询问学生们想要从事的职业,从而引出句型: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a /anStep2. Presentation1. 播放关于职业的chanting,以激发学生们学习的兴趣。2. 让学生们自学1a的生词(1分钟)自主学习并突破:自主学习P41中1a 的单词和短语_computer programmer _ cook _ doctor_ engineer _ teacher _ violinist_ bus driver _ pilot _ pianist_ basketball player _ scientist _ actor Step3.Guessing 1. Play some sounds about the jobs in 1a 2.Ask students to guess the jobs according to the sounds.(抢答,答对的同学给予加分,每次加两分)Step4. Ranking1. Tell Ss to read the words of jobs in the chart and make sure they understand the meaning of the words and phrases.2. Ask students to rank the jobs. (完成1a的任务,将12个职业排序)3. Choose some students to report their answers .Step5. Make a wish1. Tell students to write their names and dream jobs on a piece of paper and foldit.2. Prepare a box and ask students to try to throw their paper into the box, if they do , their dreams will come true.3. Ask some students to choose some paper from the box to see who willbe the lucky birds. Step6. Listening 1b1. Ask students to focus on the instruction and make sure they know what to do. 2. Play the tape and ask students to listen and fill in the blanks , then match the items. 3. Check the answers.Step7. Pairwork 1c1. First ask students to practicek in pairs with their parter. 2. Ask students to make up similar conversations.2. Then choose some students to report their answers. Step8 . Interniewing Four students to work in groups, then each group choose a student to be the reporter to interview the other students. They ask and answer like this:-What are you going to be when you grow up? -Im going to be a/an -How are you going to do that? -Im going toChoose three groups to act out their conversations.Step9. Emotional educationShow students some pictures about Wang Bao qiang (how he changed himself from a common boy to a famous actor) Students learn from Wang Baoqiang : Where there is a will ,there is a way .
