Theyre from South Africa. 2. 情感态度价值观目标:动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处,共同生存。我们应当学会关爱动物,保护动物。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 总结学习描述动物的句型。2) 总结学习表述喜好及动物来自哪里的句型。2. 教学难点:1) 运用所学的目标语言描述相关动物表达自己的喜好;2) 根据对动物的相关描述能猜出是什么动物。三、教学过程1. Warming- up ARead the new words.BCheck the answers on the paper.2. RevisionAA guessing game.Show animal pictures with half-covered on the Screen, lead the Ss to guess what animal it is,revising names of animals.B. Brain Storming. Show some animals on the Screen,have Ss talk about them,using adjectives,countries and sentences learned in this section:shy,fun, smart,cute,tall,beautiful,lazy,scary,India,Australia,South Africa,Why do you like .?/Why dont you like.? Because . Where are they from? Theyre from .3. Grammar focus. Have Ss read the sentences in Grammar Focus box by selves, then ask some to translate the sentences.Answer questions Ss asked. Ss try to translate the sentences on the Screen.4. Investigation. A. Get Ss to read: Why do you like pandas? Because theyre kind of interesting. Why does John like koalas? Because theyre very cute. Why dont you like tigers? Because theyre really scary. Learn the usage of “why” with Ss, summarize it.Do the exercises to check if Ss grasp it. B. Learn and summarize adverbs of degree:“kind of”、“really”“very”in the same way.Using sentences: Because theyre kind of interesting. Because theyre very cute. Because theyre really scary. 5. Pair work. 3a Have Ss discus and fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Then practice the conversation in pairs. Read together. 3b Ask Ss to think about animals they know, write names of animals in the blanks to make sentences that are true for them.Give a sample first. After Ss finished,get them to tell a partner the animal they like and dont like.Some to say theirs to the whole class. 3c Group work. Look at 3c,each group choose a Sto think of an animal,the other Ss ask questions to find out what animal the S is thinking about.Give sentences Ss may used to ask and answer.6. Report. After Ss find out the animals, ask them to complete the chart in 3c and write a report about the animal. Show a sample report.All groups have to show their report on Bb.T choose some groups to report. Correct if necessary.7. Exercises. Do exercises on the paper. Check the answers with Ss.8. Homework. 1) Finish the exercises . 2) Remember the sentences in Grammar Focus. 3) Write five sentences about your favorite animal, using very, kind of, really, too to describe them. 板书设计:Unit
