Presentation1). Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss read the expressions. 2). Focus attention on the picture. Ask: What can you see? Say: Each picture shows something a person did in the past. Name each activity and ask students to repeat: Stayed at home, Went to mountains, went to New York City , Went to the beach, visited my uncle, visited museums, went to summer camp 3). Now, please match each phrase with one of the pictures next to the name of the activity,point to the sample answer. 4). Check the answers. Answers: 1. f 2. b 3. g 4. e 5. c 6. a 7. d 3. Listening 1. Point to the picture on the screen. Say: Look at the picture A. Where did Tina go on vacation? She went to mountains. Ask: What did the person do in each picture? 2. Play the recording the first time. 3. Play the recording a second time. Say: There are three conversations. The people talk about what did on vacation. Listen to the recording and write numbers of the names in the right boxes of the picture. 4. Check the answers. 4Pair work 1. Point out the sample conversation. Ask two Ss to read the conversation to the class. 2. Now work with a partner. Make your own conversation about the people in the picture. 3. Ss work in pairs. As they talk, move around the classroom and give any help they need. 4. Let some pairs act out their conversations. 5. Listening 1). Tell Ss they will hear a conversation about three students conversations. Listen for the first time and fill in the chart. Then listen again and check Yes, or No. 2). Let Ss read the phrases in the chart of 2b. 3). Play the recording the first time. Ss listen and fill in the chart. 4). Play the recording a second time for the Ss to check “Yes, I did.” or “No, I didnt. ” 5). Check the answers with the Ss. 6. Pair work 1. Let two Ss read the conversation between Grace, Kevin and Julie. 2. Let Ss work in pairs and try to role-play the conversation. 3. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. 7. Role-play 1. First let Ss read the conversation and match the people and places they went. 2. Let Ss act out the conversations in pairs. 3. Some explanations in 2d. 重点知识点:1. 不定代词 anyone是不定代词,意为“任何人”,相当于anybody,主要用于疑问句或否定句中。作主语时,谓语动词用单数。Eg:Hello!Is anyone at home? 喂!有人在家吗? I didnt see anyone in the room。 我没看见有人在房间里。 Do you know anyone else who wants a ticket? 你知道还有谁想要一张票吗?类似的不定代词有:someone(某人),somebody(某人),something(某事,某物),anyone(任何人),anybody(任何人),anything(任何事情),no one(没有人),nobody(没有人), nothing(没有什么,没有一件东西), everyone(每人;人人;所有人), everybody(每个人), everything(每件事,一切事物)不定代词被其他词修饰时的位置:形容词、动词不定式、介词短语、分词或从句修饰不定代词时,要放在不定代词之后。Eg:Dont worry about me. There is nothing difficult for me . 不要替我担心,什么都难不倒我。 I have something interesting to tell you. 我有一些有趣的事情告诉你。 2. We took quite a few photos there.我们在那里照了好多照片。quite的用法:quite为程度副词,可以修饰形容词、副词或动词,意为“很;非常”。Eg:Her English is quite perfect.她的英语好极了。 She plays quite well.她表演得挺不错的。 辨析:quite a few & quite a littleQuite a few 意为“相当多,不少”,用于修饰可数名词。Eg: Quite a few students come to visit Peking University every year. 每年有很多学生参观北京大学。Quite a little 意为“相当多;不少”,用于修饰不可数名词。Eg:There is quite a little meat in the fridge.冰箱里有不少的肉。Exercises:1. last summer vacation, we _many photos when we had a trip to Dalian.A.take B. takes C. took D.will take2.
