Its a picture book named “Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?” The sentences in it are very simple. It contains nine animals and colors. I use it to review the words about colors and animals. Also it helps to improve students reading, speaking and listening ability.2. Teaching objectives.a)Knowledge objectives : Review the words about colors & animals.Read the book. Learn some new words.b) Ability objectives : Students are able to read correctly.Improve the students listening, speaking and writing skills.c)Moral objectives : Do not be limited by the books.Try to imagine and express. 3. Analysis of the students. Students of Grade 4 are active, interested in storybooks and creative. They have learned colors and animals. And they have certain abilities of listening and speaking. Although they are lack of vocabulary and dont know how to express their ideas correctly. Theyre brave to speak English. So I prepare this lesson to help them to practice and improve their abilities. 4. Teaching methods.Communicative Teaching Method & Task-based Teaching Method.5. Teaching key and difficult points.a) Key points : Master the key words and target language. Practice reading, listening, speaking skills.b) Difficult points: How to use the sentences.Make their own sentences.6. Teaching procedures.Teachers activitiesStudents activitiesPurposes Step1. Warm-up;1. Self-introduction.2. Make a slogan with students Im He is . She is Who are you? Class ( ). Are you the best?Yes, were!1.Get more information of the students. 2.Arouse the students interest of studying.3.Cheer the students up.4.Lead students to review some knowledge they have learned before5.Prepare for the group work.Step2. Leading-in1.What can you see? (PPT)2.What can you hear? (PPT)1.Match the colors with words.2.Listen to the sound and guess what animal it is.1.Review the words about colors and animals.2.Let them know what we will learn.Step3. Presentation1.Introduce the name of the book.2. Read the first page for students.3. Read the book together.4 .Children, children, what do you see?Ask students the question and show the picture if needed.5. Pair work:Encourage students to have a try.1.Read the book.Each time they reach a new animal, say “Bingo!” if it is the one they chose in leading- in part.2. Recall what animals they saw.3. Pair wok: Put the words in right order according to the book.4. Retell the story. After checking answers, Its not so difficult to retell these sentences with the help of word cards.1. Call students attention to the book.2. Let them know what we will read.3. Practice their speaking skills.Step4 Consolidation Go round the classroom and offer help if needed.1. Group work: Students try to make their new sentences by using the words in their hands. Then ask and answer one by one in groups. 2. A game :“David, David, what do you see ?”句子接龙Ask a student “what do you see?” But I will cover his eyes and ask another student to stand up. Then the first student opens eyes and answers “I see looking at me.” If students understand me, we can move on.1. Cooperate with others.2. Practice speaking & listening skills.3.
