Students can fill in the blank of phrases and sentences according to the rule of pronunciation.Teaching procedures:1. Leading-in: (1) Review we have learned in the last lesson. Turn to page 24, look at Lets talk. Read the dialogues together. (All of you did a good job). OK, next, read after me. (2) In this lesson, lets come to lets spell. Everybody, are you ready? Lets go 2. Presentation: (1) Look me carefully (teacher raise arm). And ask “Whats this?” “It is arm.” Pay attention to the word“arm”. Read after me. Use your finger, write with me. Lets come to next word (teacher show the picture of car). Look at the picture. It is(a car). Read after me, and write it in the blackboard. Look at me, what is this? (Teacher shows the card on her body). Read the word loudly and write. Next word. Look the picture. (The picture of a ball). It is a ball. Read after me and use your finger to write. Look at your book, next word is tall. Read it loudly. Follow me to write. The last word is let students guess (teacher use the wall of the classroom to ask students). The last word is wall. Read it loudly and use your finger to write. (2) Look at these words, read after me, and then all of you read them together. (3) After reading, can you find something? Can you find the rule of pronunciation? ( write down the “ar” “al” and teach /a:/ /o:/ ) 3. Practice: (1) Let students read the words according to the rule of pronunciation /a:/ /o:/. (2) Listen and number. (Teacher read the words, students number, and then check the answer) (3) Look, listen and write( Teacher read the sentences, students write and check) (4) Let students read the words and sentences. 4. Production:(1) Let students conclude the words of the rule of pronunciation /a:/ /o:/. (2) Let students say another words of the rule of pronunciation /a:/ /o:/. 5. Summary: (1) Words: arm car card ball tall wall (2) ar: /a:/ al: /o:/ 6. Homework: (1) read the words at home. (2) write down six wor
