Teaching procedureStep1 Preparation1. Greetings.T: Nice to see you again.Ss:2. Play a game Whack - a - mole to help them review the phrases they learnt.Step2 Presentation 1. Introduce a lovely family to them. Let them watch a video the Peppa Pig. Introduce the family members in the Peppas voice.2. T: What did George do yesterday? Yesterday is the past time. So we use the word of the past tense: did, played. Draw a number line to help them understand the past tense. 3. Ask and answer. (1) Where did . go last Saturday? They went to the park. (Went is the past tense of go.)They jumped in the mud. What did . do last Saturday ? They went boating and went swimming. (2) Where did . go last Sunday? They went to a farm. Their parents live there. What did . do last Saturday ? They visited their grandparents. (Got is the past tense of get, ate is the past tense of eat.) They got fresh vegetables and ate fresh food. Wow, it looks delicious. I like fresh food. What about you? Look, Peppas friends ate ice-cream. Its delicious, but its not fresh food. Its junk food. (3) Now, lets recall. Last Saturday, Peppas family went to a park. They went boating and went swimming. Last Sunday, they went to a farm. They visited their grandparents. They got fresh vegetables and ate fresh food. The weekend is great. (4) Happiness is always around them. They went on a holiday. They went to a forest park. The first day, they went camping. Peppas friend Mimi went fishing. The second day, Peppa rode a bike with her friends. Her friend bear rode a horse. Her friend Mimi took pictures. (Took is the past tense of take.) (5) Last holiday, Peppas family went to a forest park. The first day, they went camping. The second day, Peppa rode a bike with her friends. How was their holiday? It was great/ good/ cool. They had a happy holiday. 4. Learn to say. Our friend Peppa from cartoon had fun. What about the friend John from our book. Look, this is his microblog. From the microblog, you can know of his daily life. (1) Last Tuesday, he rode a horse, went camping and went fishing. What a good day! (2) Things are not good every day! Last Saturday, he rode a bike with his friends. What happened to him? Oh, he fell off his bike and hurt his foot. ( Fell is the past tense of fall, hurt is the past tense of hurt. ) Its terrible. (3) Let them say about Johns holiday.Step3 Production. 1. Introduce my holiday by using the key question words When, Where, Who, What, How;2. Let students talk about their holiday. 3.
