Unit5 Why do you like pandas? SectionB (1a-1d) Today Im honor to stand here. Im zhang Cuihong from Xincun Middle school. I am going to talk about the first period in Section B (1a-1d) of Unit5, which is taken from Go for it, in Grade7 . My presentation consists of five parts: analysis of the teaching material, analysis of the students, teaching methods, guide of studying ways, teaching procedures .I. Analysis of the teaching materialI) Teaching aims1. Knowledge objects:(1)Status and functionThis unit is aiming at talking about express preferences with the patterns of why do you like? Because they are. The period serves as how to describe animals. The materials in talking are mostly from the real life and are familiar to students, so they are very interested in it. A big picture is used to attract students attention. And listening and pair work are also used in this period.(2) Key vocabulary:Words:elephant koala lion giraffe animal cute friendly shy (3) Structure: Why question, be +adj 系表结构(4) Target language: Sentence: What animal do you like ?I like elephants.Why do you want to see them?Because they are very interesting.2.Ability ObjectsIn this lesson, Ill mainly train the Ss listening and speaking abilities and develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.3. Moral ObjectsFrom this lesson, the Ss should know animals are our friends, we should protect them. And learn how to work with others and help each other, how to express their own ideas during the communication.II)Teaching keys and difficultiesAccording to the teaching aims, I think the focus of this lesson is the new descriptions about animals and help the Ss to communicate with each other. The difficulty is to help the Ss make conversations freely using the target language.III)Teaching aidsA computer ,ppt flash,recorderII. Analysis of the studentsThe Ss have learned English for a half year, they can express their thoughts and communicate with each other with English well. And all the Ss will be interested in the topic about their past experience, which is related to their real life. Its helpful for our study of this lesson.III. Teaching methodsIn this lesson, Ill mainly use the “task-based” teaching method, and it will be used in the whole lesson. I think its helpful to develop the Ss thought. Ill also use “situation communicating” method. It can provide enough listening and speaking situations for Ss. I think good teaching methods are the keys to success.IVGuide of studying waysIn order to guide the Ss better, develop the Ss abilities, in this lesson, the Ss will learn how to communicate with others.
